I Am All In 🧢 💙 Luke is such a memorable and incredible character. For years he provided a much needed stability for Lorelai and Rory- by simply feeding them, entertaining their antics, and well just physically being there when needed. Some of you probably remember Luke’s Diner, and this is basically that but evolved. I wanted Luke’s colorway to have much more blue- clearly his favorite color. 🧢 But also for the reason of blue symbolizing loyalty and stability- two words I would always use to describe Luke when it comes to the Gilmore girls. I also love how this colorway reminds me so much of a river or stream- which totally lends to one of Luke’s favorite activities- fishing. Williams Hardware🛠 Originally I sought out to create what I thought would be called Luke’s Diner. However I soon after had the thought, wait I created these skeins based off of a color scheme Luke’s father had created. Luke knows how much his father loved his shop and even kept the name on the building after converting it to Luke’s Diner. The changes he made were as minimal and noninvasive as possible. Heck he even kept an order his father had taken written on the countertop from years and years prior. So I decided to do the same as Luke, and honor his father. When Lorelai does finally convinces him to paint and spruce it up a bit, it’s just slightly different- but more Luke. Williams Hardware is a dreamy blend of champagne, soft pale blues, greens and deep golden orangy brown speckles. Dragonfly Inn 🪴 The second colorway returning for our reboot of our Stars Hollow Collection, and probably my personal favorite from the original. Lorelai and Sookie are able to create such a beautiful and unique inn experience in their quaint little town, and I wanted to create a colorway that equally matched the magic and charm these two made. Dragonfly Inn reminds me of easy summers from childhood filled with early morning bike rides to catching lighting bugs late into the evening while laughing with friends. It’s being able to find the magic in the simplest activities or places. The colorway itself is a mix of a warm foliage green, blush pink, an aged greenish blue, and pale yellow, all topped off with golden orangey/brown speckles. Are y’all starting to visualize the fade I’m creating? I thought showing them in fade order would make it all the easier! Stars Hollow✨ A colorway based on the collections namesake was top of my list for its return. Stars Hollow is a colorway really more so based on my feelings about the town. I’ve always felt spending time there would be like returning home on a September day, where you can just begin to feel the shift of the seasons. There’s still the joy of the summer, but the beginning excitement of fall and leaves changing. 🥰 These feelings brought to yarn include swirls of a vintage pink, terra cotta, warm reddish brown, a pale pear green, a nostalgic greenish blue, and a warm off white cream. I adore how the blue, green, and terra cotta interact to create the most beautiful aged patina shades. I’m absolutely obsessed with this colorway, but especially am smitten with it on both Sequoia Fingering and Cashmere Elm DK.
