I find myself asking Him this daily!!! 🦋 While I am a new creation in Christ I also am still human. We don’t magically just become perfect when when accept Him as our Lord and savior but we enter into this beautiful process of sanctification with Him! I want to look more and more like Him every day! But the moments I fall short I want Him to intervene and teach me how to respond like Him. Life is a beautiful process of not just knowing about our Creator but, intimately getting to know Him! How wild is it that the God who created literally every single thing wants to KNOW YOU!!! The God who hung the stars , the God who parts the sea, the God who makes dry bones come alive……… That’s the God who loves you! That’s the God who wants to have a relationship with you! It was definitely spiritual… a contrast between life and death, good and evil… Godly things… breathtakingly beautiful, sacred, treasured, meaningful, loved, good, full, sustaining, everlasting LIFE Bad things… temporary, earthly pleasures and materialism… futility… shallow voids of emptiness… all passing away… DEATH “Do not be surprised by the fiery ordeal that is taking place among you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you.” 1 Peter 4:12 “The world is passing away and also its desires; but whoever does the will of God lives forever.” 1 John 2:17 “Don’t love this evil world or things in it. Today in my encounter time with the Lord, He was highlighting what it means to have a pure heart. Pure 🤍-not mixed or adulterated with any other substance/material. Free of contamination. Without sin. How do we become pure? •Spending time with God daily and asking Him to clean our hearts, forgive our sins, and renew our spirits through a fresh outpouring of His presence. (Psalm 51:10-12) •Taking every thought captive. The mindset becomes, Does this please you Lord, or does this grieve your heart? (2 Corinthians 3-5) Ask Him to give you His heart! Say, “Lord, would you break my heart for what breaks yours?” •Realizing that the way we live our life should be a sweet aroma to God. Our lives should be seen as beautiful worship unto Him. (Psalm 19:14) • Allowing your fleshy, selfish, ideas & desires to die (“your truth/my truth”) daily and pick up His cross/His will and purposes for your life. When we let our flesh die we are letting the fear of man die too. We no longer do something to get applause from man but we do everything for the purpose of pleasing God. If you are carrying His cross, chances are the world isn’t going to like you, in fact scripture says the world won’t. But I love that in Matthew 16:24-25 it says that whoever gives up his life for my(Jesus) sake will find it. Heavenly Father, I come before You w a heavy heart, burdened by the weight of loss & challenge seeming to surround me. I am weary & my spirit is downtrodden. I humbly ask for Your Divine intervention, a respite from the constant struggles that have been my companions for too long. . In Psalm 34:18, You've promised, "The Lord is near to the brokenhearted & saves the crushed in spirit". I cling to this, knowing that You're aware of my pain & darkness. You are not distant or indifferent to my struggles, but rather, You draw near to me in my moments of despair. . Father, I confess this prolonged season of loss & setbacks has taken a toll on my mind, body, & soul. The trauma of it all has left me feeling broken, worn-out, & uncertain of what lies ahead. Yet, in the depths of my pain, I am choosing to trust that You have a purpose for it all. . Help me to see beyond my present circumstances. While it is difficult to fathom, Im trying to believe that even in the midst of suffering, You're working for my good & Your glory. Im putting my faith in that & ask for strength to persevere, knowing that You are molding me into the person You have called me to be. . As I pour my heart to You, I ask for a time of rest, recovery, ease & grace. Grant me space & time needed to heal from these wounds, to regain my strength. Help me find solace in Your loving embrace, knowing that Youre my refuge & shelter. . Give me wisdom to discern the steps I need to take as I navigate this path of trials. Guide me towards resources & support systems that will aid in my restoration. Surround me w compassionate individuals who lend a helping hand & provide the love I need. . In the midst of my prayer, I surrender desire for control over my circumstances. I trust in Your Divine sovereignty, recognizing that You are orchestrating every detail of my life, even in the face of adversity. May Your will be done, O Lord, for Your plans are far greater than my own. I thank You, Father, for hearing my plea. I hold to the hope that, in Your perfect timing, You will bring an end to this period of difficulty. Help me emerge wiser, w a deeper understanding of Your unfailing Love .
