The process of healing my core is a journey in itself. Did you know that your body is still healing even further than 3 years after you’ve given birth? 9 & 12 years ago when I had my girls, not only did I not do any core healing but I wasn’t even healthy to start with. Not in my body nor my mind. This time around, I decided to get back to my workouts & especially healing my core as soon as I had the green light to do so. I wanted to make sure I wasn’t just healthy but also, HEALING✨ I also didn’t want to wait till my baby was older to start. Me being healthy allows me to be a better Mother for my children. Wildernook launched on Earth Day 7️⃣ Years ago at Drift Cafe cheered on by family and friends. It’s starting to look very “spring-y” around the ranch. . Spring is the most beautiful time of year as the mountains are so green and life is fully growing all around. . One way to get over the anxiety of being stuck on a hamster wheel and never seeing results is to begin with the end in mind. What I mean by this is... You will grow apart from people you’ve had significant relationships with: partners, friends, family, work colleagues and business clients who were all once a match for you. It’s a natural part of the process when evolving. Evolving involves eliminating. Even though you grow apart from particular people, be grateful for the time that you had with them as they were exactly who you needed at that time in your life, and vice versa. If you are on a path of personal and spiritual development, you will often find that you will outgrow people who aren’t or who are simply no longer aligned with you. If you refuse to let go of people you have outgrown, who are no longer aligned with you or who are not serving your highest good, you will block the flow of what’s meant to enter your life. Moving on from people is not a failure or something you need to make a big deal out of. You have fulfilled your purpose for coming together in this lifetime, and now it’s time to move on and go down different paths. Even though you may no longer be in each other’s lives in the same way, you will always have the memories, lessons and wisdom that came from being in each other’s lives. When you let go of a friendship/relationship that has served it’s time and purpose, you create space for new people to enter and who are more aligned with who you are today. I often find myself yearning to escape the bitter cold winters that seem to linger far too long. Every February, as the snow continues to fall or the biting cold persists, I question my decision to stay. Why endure this cold? Why not seek warmer pastures elsewhere? But then, just as doubt begins to creep in, spring makes her grand entrance. The sun emerges, thawing the frosty landscape, and suddenly Boise transforms into a paradise. Our lives are a direct reflection of the world we live in. We too live through seasons, but our seasons come and go at a difference pace than those in nature. Unlike nature, we are often resistant to change and our need to evolve. We often times don't give ourselves the grace we deserve as we experience the changing season. What I find amazing is the presence of those who recognize that change is near or currently occurring and are embracing it for what it is. Those individuals are willing to let go of what is familiar, what is convenient to face a season of new beginnings. It's the acceptance of one season ending and a new beginning that can bring you face to face with the purpose within your life. Here’s another amazing testimony from one of my book launch team ladies: We ALL have a few weeds living in our gardens. I’ve included an opportunity to draw your personal garden with thought provoking ?’s to literally dig out the weeds and plant new seeds in the journal that pairs with “Captivating Creation: Seasons.” More details to come on the journal! What weeds have I discovered? The weed of impulsivity was revealed, along with the weed of putting too much pressure on myself to get all the things finished as quickly as possible for this book. When I nurture these weeds, I find myself super drained, lacking joy. As I continue to finish all the things to get this book launched, I’m striving to enjoy the journey! I’ve also had some beautiful flowers bloom while going through this book study: I’ve reconnected with some of these topics after I first began writing this book over 7 years ago. I have an anticipation/hope greater than before. No matter what setback I’m experiencing, if I’m patient with God’s timing, I see how His timing is WAY better than my pressure-filled timeline! I CANNOT wait for you to watch your gardens bloom and grow as you dig into each season of this book🌸 May 20th will be here before you know it - I’m still working on the preorder setbacks, but I’m inching forward with patience(ish) lol. Seasons/Guided Rest This Week. I had to say goodbye to someone last week - someone who is dear to me - who is moving far away. It was so interesting because although it's very likely that this person and I will be in touch again, we both knew that something was ending - some phase of our relationship had come to an end. And we both felt the grief in that. Honestly, it was a really beautiful moment - it was beautiful to be present to that grief and to say goodbye. It made me think about the seasons of our lives, and I talked about this in last week's gentle yoga class. You might be in a season of shock, or grief. You might be in a season of recovery. You might be in a season of clarity and forward-motion (this is the season that our culture loves best! And it can feel really good to be here). You might be in a season of uncertainty or exploration or adventure. You might be in a season of hellos or goodbyes. And yes, it's very possible that you are in more than one season at a time! I think we all know that it's rarely as straightforward as these words make it out to be. Whatever season - or seasons - you are in, may you notice and land there, fully, with both feet. There are hidden jewels in every single season - it's just true. And if you're paying attention, you may uncover some of these jewels - these shimmering moments - the beauty that is there. January-April 15th (tax day) 👉🏻443 treadmill miles 🏃🏼♀️ 👉🏻215 road miles 🏃🏼♀️ 67% being indoor miles This winter and tax season (when hubby works crazy hours!) I became bff’s with this treadmill and honestly I’ve grown to love this machine. It has given me so much as a Mom of 4 little humans in the thickest of seasons of life. I worked a ton on heart rate training and speed this past year since Estella was born and it has paid off 💪🏻😅 Many mornings it was a struggle to get on but I did it anyway, sometimes it happened in the late morning or afternoon which meant I had a baby in the car seat next to me, stopped to changed diapers, quick nurse the baby, give snacks, fix the tv, “momlife things” 😅 I had to learn to shift expectations and be ok with being flexible and not perfect. Still got my strength training in bc that’s key to not getting injured and staying strong 💪🏻 Winston has started taking a liking to lifting some weights and doing sit ups with me 🥰 I also have found a running club of 9 other amazing ladies that have inspired me and given me reason to keep showing up even when I couldn’t meet up with them as often. *you know who you all are 😌* I have fallen in love with running even more this last year, I’m not really sure what the shift was but as I learned new concepts I began applying them…the work has paid off and I am enjoying the challenge and change it’s presenting. I love getting to show my kids the journey, how I don’t quit, and the power of consistency. Am I this way in every area of my life? Just as Mother Earth experiences a constant shifting of her seasons, you too move through your own beautiful cycles. It’s why some periods of life you may be feeling more energetic, social, or confident while others you may feel the call to turn inward, to recharge, and are a bit more selective of where your energy flows to. You are forever moving through your own Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall. And allowing yourself to find deep acceptance for the phase you are in without indulging the urge to rush yourself through the process will always keep you in right relationship with yourself.
