I am called to share my gifts, love, talents + creativity with ALL living things. THIS is the epitome of THAT! Together, we make motherhood (parenting) possible. Carrying a child that is not biologically/genetically related to me all so someone else gets to experience motherhood/fatherhood + deservingly so, has been so rewarding for me. Becoming a surrogate (now more commonly called Gestational Carrier) is something I’ve wanted to do since I was in my early 20s. I’m 37 now and am so proud of myself… & I mean, the fact that I am eating this pregnancy up looking this damn good is only a plus! Fun Fact: I have 3 biological children (my sons) & I’ve never taken any maternity photos. So when I was selected to model for @karen_dominguez_photography , it was so special for me. It allowed me to hold space for my previous pregnancies with my own sons, while documenting and carrying a son for a couple that has become like family to me. This experience is almost at its end, but these photos will last forever. This song, Protector by Beyoncé, is my current favorite song to play when I’m in my feels regarding my own children/motherhood journey. It also holds true to my journey as I usher forward to bring another life earth side for the parents of my Belly-Buddy. You have received the same (or maybe even more) protection from me during our short time together that my children will have for a lifetime. Puis Agathe est arrivée, et enfin Camille. Chaque étape a été une nouvelle dose de bonheur, mais aussi un nouveau défi à relever. Le plus difficile ? Certainement lorsque bébé est encore tout petit, demandant une attention constante et des nuits courtes. Owner of 2 small businesses•Boy mama of 2•SAHM Why?? Ever since I can remember, I wanted to be a mom. There’s photos of me in preschool playing “house” with a baby inside of my shirt. I remember playing house for a lot of my childhood. I feel that someone people were just meant to be moms and I think I’m one of those people. Being a business owner allows me to be home and enjoy my littles in every precious stage of their life🤍 In addition to that, I always enjoyed playing with hair and makeup. I taught myself how to braid, Dutch braid, and paint nails. Making people feel beautiful in their own skin has always been and continues to be a large passion of mine. Becoming a salon owner was my goal since at least my freshman year of high school (if not earlier?) 🎀 I always thought I would own a small salon of just me and MAYBE one other person. Little did I know what God has planned for me. In His infinite wisdom, God graciously allowed me the opportunity of purchasing an established tanning and hair salon. I’ve never looked back🤍 I’ve meet the most incredible people, learned so much (sometimes very hard lessons), and ultimately have grown so much since becoming a small business owner in 2020. Fast forward to June of 2023 when we purchased the building that our salon is located in (no more rent-yay!) and with that, acquired more space to open a second business. After talking, praying, dreaming, a lot of work and renovating, we opened up a faith-based boutique. Opening a tea business in that space is also in the works! ✝️Ultimately, I’m so grateful to God for my roles. Being a mom and a business owner has taught me a lot about discipline, balance and surrender.  The real truth is that we never can truly know or control what will happen at any moment.  Life as a mom is always unpredictable and things will always come up that you need to gracefully adapt to and handle in the best way possible.  Same thing when running a business.  Each day is never like the one before it, there can be amazingly exciting surprises and there can be challenges that teach you grit, determination and how to think outside of the box.  That's why I love being an entrepreneur as well because there is never a dull moment. Some days are filled with exciting wins and some are filled with uncertainty and figuring it out.  The characteristic that both of these roles have brought to me on a deeper level is discipline and determination.  I never wanted to resort to the "easy" way and instead felt more driven to figure out and do things in the "best" way possible. With commitment to keep pushing forward, to try new things and to really think about what is best for the long run and go with that.  But it's always a balancing act, to do the best job that you can possibly do while also being gentle, kind and understanding of your own capabilities and process.  Knowing that we might not be perfect today, but we're indeed getting better and better with each milestone, each lesson learned, each project and each experience moving forward.  Remembering that not everything has to be done and perfect today. It's important to move forward and have momentum but it's also okay to make mistakes and give yourself space to breathe.  Not letting yourself stress about the perfection and the completion of every single thing that you would love and feel like you need to do.  But being smart about it and doing what is most important.  Really sitting with yourself and understanding on a deeper level, what is it exactly that is the most important thing for me to do right now to bring me closer to my goals and the life that I want to live and have been working towards. #mompreneur #mamapreneur #entrepreneurship #lifelessons
