Sociocracy Campout this Weekend! How might we best transition from our extractive past to our collaborative future? Generating our collective capacity to work together effectively feels like a tremendously important primary step in our path forward. As many of you know, I’ve been on the Sociocracy hype train for several years. I am grateful to share the wonderful news that @thesweetspotfarm is presenting our first ever Sociocracy Campout. It’s a health retreat, sociocracy workshop, and community campout all in one. Two days of delicious meals, nourishing connections, and a grand buffet of food for thought. @shalasade and I will be facilitating an in depth introduction to the practice of Sociocracy throughout both Saturday and Sunday. @centehua.sage will be serving up all sorts of amazing farm fresh food and treats from start to finish. While worshipping the other night, the Lord gave me the words to this song. I couldn't get the words our of my head and I started singing them over and over again...and tears were just rolling. So, I got on my guitar and put music to it and recorded it. . ••• . Then someone gave me a Word on the Sunday following and it was the same thing, "Jesus says He sees you"...like 😭. . ••• . And then scrolling IG, my writer friend's post has this same verse from Genesis "You are the God who sees me,". . ••• . Like WOW, I know the song is personally for me but I believe that it is also for SOME body else...so. . ••• . For the one who feels as if God has forgotten you. This is your reminder that you are not forgotten. . ••• . God SEEs you. And He knows you. And He loves you.

At the end of March, the Lord placed it on my heart to do a Worship Collaboration with Worshippers across social media. . . ••• . I didn't know where to start. But felt led to reach out to a fellow Worship Leader that I had NEVER met in real life. I met her on Instagram through a hashtag from a Bethel Music concert that we both attended 3 years ago. And we had been following each other since. . ••• . Long story short, I love @kellie_pacella ❤️🤗😘! I could not have done this without her. With her help, we brought together 15 Worshippers from 8 different churches, 5 different states and 2 different countries, to sing a blessing over the nations. . ••• . If you have a voice, you can sing. You don't need anyone's permission. And singing is even more enjoyable when done with others. Something powerful happens when we join our voices- we seem to instantly feel a bond of understanding with others. This is why we sing at our assemblies: it brings our community together. Our main speaker James Sills @jsillsmusic is a musician, vocal leader, author, and speaker who is passionate about bringing people together to sing. His book, "Do/ Sing" is a celebration of group singing in all its forms, from football stadiums to choirs to campfires. In addition to his talk about singing, he will also give a short demonstration of how people can sing together online as he does with his Sofa Singers (https://www.thesofasingers.com/). And we welcome the return of the Sunday Assembly Choir! It was challenging adapting to virtual rehearsals, but Emma Songeur has done a fantastic job of bringing members of our community together for weekly rehearsals.
