This is really important. You should want to know about us just as much as we want to know about you. First off, there is no 'us'; there is a 'me'. My name is Nate and I live in Tampa, FL. I am 33, married with 3 boys, two dogs. I have spent the last 15 years of my life on a journey; which has led me here. I have been attempting to figure it out; figure myself out; figure life out. I have read dozens upon dozens of books, listened to so many podcasts (big fan), audiobooks (not a fan), started and closed several ventures and have done everything from therapy to mindfulness. Some things worked and others didn't. Some lessons I could learn in a book and others were on the other end of a bad experience, difficult conversation, financial setback or some combination of the three. How did that bring me to MasculiniTEA, why am I selling tea... Basically, because of Tim Ferriss (not totally but the idea was born out of listening to one of his podcasts). There are two ideas that I would like to merge with MasculiniTEA and they are masculinity and fulfillment. I chose these two because they are deeply important to me. They are areas that I am constantly working on. What does it mean to be a man, a father and a son, a husband and a friend, a leader in the work place but also have an impact on society, my community... How can you be strong but open and vulnerable; how do you balance your desire to win with lifting others up? How can you both offer and ask for help? What does it mean to be fulfilled? I will tell you I thought it was on the other side of achievement; but it is not.... on the other side of money; nope... and materials; not there either. The only thing easier for me than setting goals is moving the goal posts once I have reached them. You got promoted, the raise wasn't big enough. You own a home, you need a bigger one. You are the Vice President, you should be the CEO. The list goes on and on and on... Now for the tea.... When I think about tea and who drinks it, I think of Mr. Miagi from Karate Kid or women (this might be because of my Western upbringing). Tea is for tea parties; something girls did as children.
