Brief bloom, eh fellas? In less than a year's time, #megalopolistoys went from a favorite stop to just another labelscar in a city chock full of them. I'm not going to pretend I know what happened, but whatever it was, it didn't end gracefully. @fwooshrobo called the play on this one as it happened, like he saw this cinderalla story going ugly stepsister almost two years before it happened. But it ain't all bad, I made some friends, like @movi_man09 , and we still have some great shops put here- @roguetoys @nerdstoreut and @btnttoyz to name a few. But I still got cheated out of a screaming deal on #omegasupreme , and at least one mezco preorder. Jokes on them though, I contested the charge on that one. The megalopolis story is probably a good cautionary one, icarus kind of stuff, but it joins a long list of things that died during the ol' Modello virus. But perhaps they also make the shorter list; of things better off that way. We would like to thank you for coming out to this service, and for hearing my eulogy, God bless and safe travels.

Who’s every thought what happens when an amusement park closes at night. Well I have and I know what happens… Clay Fighters!! An abandoned amusement park sits peacefully in the noonday sun. Playland was once the most popular vacation spot in all of Mudville; these days it is only home to dust and cobwebs. This, however, is about to change. From a bajillion miles away comes a mysterious purple clay meteor. It approaches seemingly with purpose-rocketing towards the center of the park. With the deafening impact the meteor explodes, spreading clay devastation throughout the park. Playland has become Clayland. When Clayland is formed you have the change to earn the tile of King of the Circus… Drum roll please….. Clay Fighter is formed. Its a bit like fight club, you can’t talk about it, you don’t know about it, but deep down you know its theres. There were some super characters including: Helga - An obese and heavily-breasted opera singer dressed in Viking attire - trust me me her boinks were huge! Bad Mr. Frosty - A snowman with a bad attitude. Ickybod Clay - A scarecrow-like ghost with a pumpkin head. Those were my favourite. Another good thing about the game was that all the characters had their own entrance! Okay so it’s now officially been 2 months since I placed an IN STOCK order with @megalopolis.toys; over 8 weeks almost 9. I was in contact with one guy who assured me my order would get shipped, well after multiple empty promises and no responses from him after seeing my messages I’ve just finally had enough. I get they are making changes, that’s great but too little too late. I didn’t want to make this post, but I know so many of you have had issues and continue to have issues. Hopefully they get everything figured out and can delivery products in a timely manner. My experience has been unacceptable and not even as bad as others have experienced. Stay FAR AWAY from Megalopolis Toys They are taking peoples money and NOT sending them anything I am seeing HUNDREDS of posts all over social media, whether it be YouTube or Facebook of upset collectors that were essentially robbed by Megalopolis Toys - HUNDREDS of people who placed orders and nothing was ever sent - go read their YouTube comments on certain videos where the owners are being interviewed, it makes me sick how many people they did this to When you try to contact them they don’t respond to emails, try calling their phone number and a recording says to call back during business hours...even though the call is made during business hours They use excuse after excuse, from short staffed to Covid No excuses I am a one man operation and managed to pack 800 orders singe handily multiple times over a weekend during the height of covid in Feb, April, May, June, and I’ll be able to pack 320 Mighty Max orders over the weekend alone They are a scam It’s crazy to think they would do something like this - I am a small voice in the toy world - and I’m letting people know, fellow collectors and enthusiasts to never think of giving them your business Apparently at one point they were reputable but their reputation is ruined THEY TOOK $1,600 from me and I have to call my credit card company to file a claim from orders stemming from over a month ago Others I know still have orders they are waiting for from JULY...JULY IF you manage to get in contact with them to CANCEL your order they try and charge you a 15% restocking fee...GTFO and now they are starting their own toy lines ?! Makes zero sense The only way they respond to anyone is by publicly calling them out, but I’m done trying to get in contact with them, AMEX has Zombie Sailors back and I’m getting my money returned They turned off all comments on their Instagram - except their latest post saying they are going to start using a drop shipping service...are you kidding me Rant over, be warned Oh and again, thank you to everyone for the support with the Mighty Max sale. Prezados colecionadores! Infelizmente preciso deixar um relato para que outros clientes, consumidores e colecionadores nao sejam prejudicados. Não comprem na loja megalopolis Toys(city of collectibles), eles não cumprem o que prometem. Eu fiz uma compra de produtos que já tem 2 meses, e nada da loja enviá-los, enviei varios e-mails solicitando uma resposta e envio dos produtos e eles ficaram colocando culpa em covid19, sem falar que pra responder e-mail, era prazo de 1 semana, quando a compra completou 1 mês e depois de varios e-mails sem resposta, eu decidi e solcilitei o cancelamento. E a loja diz que pra fazer o cancelamento, é preciso que eu pague uma taxa de 15% do total da compra pra eles liberarem o cancelamento. Pagar 15% de algo que não enviaram tem 1 mês? Pagar 15% de produtos que nem saíram da loja?? Negativo!! E pelo que percebi, não sou o único que tive problemas. Dear collectors! Unfortunately,I need to leave a report so that other customers, consumers and collectors are not harmed. Don't buy at megalopolis Toys store (city of collectibles), they don't deliver what they promise. I made a purchase of products that is already 2 months old, and nothing from the store to send them, I sent several emails requesting a reply and sending the products and they were blaming covid19, not to mention that to answer email, it was within 1 week, when the purchase completed 1 month and after several unanswered emails, I decided and requested the cancellation. And the store says that to make the cancellation, I need to pay a fee of 15% of the total purchase for them to release the cancellation. Paying 15% for something you didn't send is 1 month old? Pay 15% for products that didn't even leave the store ?? Negative!! And from what I realized, I'm not the only one who had problems. They are screwing customers! youtubers from reviews like @justjhernandez, @meu collector24 and @d__amazing, are reporting some cases of problems with the store. Time for a PSA! (Part 2) 🛎 Alex replied a little over a week later to apologize for the apparent miscommunication, stating that they did have the items when I originally asked them to confirm... but seemed much more concerned with the fact that I had referred to her as a male. Look Alex, I don't give a good goddamn what gender you are, just do your job and stop lying to your customers! She made no effort nor had any willingness to rectify my order aside from offering $20 in account credit points... (what am I supposed to do with credit points, put them towards even more merchandise that they'll fail to ship? 🤨) She stated that they don't expect to receive the items again... which I find odd considering the items that are supposedly damaged are action figures that are relatively new. Meanwhile, the owner is spending more time trolling Facebook posts, when he should be shipping out backlogged orders. (This was a comment made by another unhappy customer on Facebook... although I can't help but to agree 100%) 🤷♂️ My method of turning this absolutely negative experience into a positive, is to warn others about Megalopolis Toys... it's the decent thing to do, after all I've witnessed since placing my first order with them. Well over a month of waiting, having to waste time contacting them about an order they had no ability to fulfill. Ineptitude and unprofessionalism at its finest and judging from the Facebook posts, an absolute blight on the collecting community. Avoid them at all costs, unless you enjoy having your time wasted... and if you do have any orders placed with them, I truly hope they ship them to you without a laundry list of excuses. If they fail to fulfill your order, remember to contact your bank immediately, post about your experience and warn others. Do your research and read the reviews. Check their score with the BBB. Ouch, is all I can say! Shame on them for their shady business practices which have resulted in so many unhappy customers. Time for a PSA! (Part 1) 🛎 If I can do anyone inside (and outside of) the collecting community a service after my horrendous experience with Megalopolis Toys/Megalopolis: City of Collectibles, it would be to advise everyone to AVOID THEM entirely. After waiting almost a month for an order I had placed, I began to discover other collectors complaining on Facebook about the long delay in shipping. I'd been quite patient, or so I felt. After all, I was willing to tolerate their excuse that the Covid-19 pandemic was the main cause of the delay... but that excuse can only last so long before people start to question what's really going on. After all, they were spamming my inbox every two days regarding "hot off the truck" merchandise and advertising their award for being "one of the fastest growing businesses in the USA." Talk about the worst possible time to be bragging, while dozens of your customers are waiting patiently for you to do your job and ship their items. Maybe step away from the advertising for five minutes to ship some packages out? 🤷♂️ Anyway, after reading about how abysmal their service has become, I decided to take initiative and asked them to confirm that my items were in-stock and being prepared to ship. Their customer service representative, Alex, informed me that all was well and not to worry. They had all of the items I had ordered and they would ship very soon. All was well, or so I believed. A week and a half went by and I received an e-mail from another employee of theirs, stating that some of the items I ordered were missing and some were damaged... (I had already read a post on Facebook from someone that had experienced this. Megalopolis had also held onto their money for upwards of eight months.) I obviously questioned why I had been lied to and asked them to confirm with Alex regarding what "he" had stated. I didn't know Alex was a female but should that even matter at this point? Apparently it did matter...
