Life has been a whirlwind lately with work/kids/everyday life AND preparing for a move at the same time. There are literally not enough hours in the day. These three help keep me going: ๐ Books After all the craziness of the day, the thing I most look forward to is curling up with a book in bed. I try to squeeze a few chapters in during the day as well, but Iโm primarily listening to audiobooks while I clean, organize and pack. Thank you @libby.app ! ๐ My minivan My second home. I traded in my SUV 5 years ago and I have never looked back. If you ever talk cars with me, I WILL try to convince you to buy one because they are game changers. Between work, shopping, school, kids activities and road trips, Patricia (yes, she has a name!) and I spend a LOT of time together and she has never let me down. I love her. ๐ Aldi One of the places Patricia and I visit most. We have one close to our house and I am literally there every other day. I have the store layout memorized and can be in & out in 10 minutes. This is a HUGE time saver for me. If Iโm not pressed for time, I might browse the Aldi Finds aisle ( #aldiaisleofshame )which is where I stumbled on my new Aldi treasures pictured here. (My daughter wasnโt as excited as I was. Taking 5 people camping requires a vehicle with plenty of capabilities. It needs to be able to carry a lot of passengers and gear comfortably and this 2022 Toyota Sienna is what I'm using this trip quite effectively. Like all Moms out thereโฆ.my mind, body & LIFE completely changed when I had kids! I went from a blissfully ignorant soon to be mom to a depressed, lonely, anxious & stress eater Mom of 2 babes! So it's been an eventful day, on the way home last night Dad got his truck stuck in the ditch ( don't worry everyone is alright ) this morning after the plow was though we launched a rescue mission, it was going to be easy, just dig out the truck with the bobcat and pull it out of the ditch, BUT the the loader got stuck itself ๐ so on to palm B, go get the tractor and get it to pull out both truck and bobcat, finally after much shoveling all vehicles with safely back on the road @rose_barn_emu is it time for spring yet? Wine at night, sleeping in on the weekends, eating out, taking napsโฆlooking back I realized I was trying to numb what was happening in our lives! Mike losing his job, home schooling the kids, helllllo quarantine and leading a team that needed some massive support. I wasnโt doing a good job taking care of me mentally and emotionally! It is so easy to put yourself on the back burner when you are stressed and worried!โฃ โฃ After 11 days of NO sugar. NO booze. NO coffee. Plant based meals! A gallon of water a day I took my power back and NOW I am LEADING me first! โฃ๐ โฃ I still love myself on the left and love myself today, but I feel a helluva lot better and more focused than ever! Well, I did a little thing. I traded in my well loved, roomy, mom mini-van and got this!! I didnโt make this trade lightly as Iโm a pretty practical person and well, because #minivansrock. ๐ But this trade was a special one, an earned one. What this car represents is hard work, determination and letting go of fear and self doubt. Itโs about a team of incredible women who are all doing the same thing! I didnโt get into this business to earn a car. I truly didnโt think that was achievable. I didnโt see myself as someone who could even do this business, much less be successful at it. I told myself what my strengths were and they fit very nicely into my comfort zone. I told myself what I was capable of and the limited potential I had. I have spent most of my life letting my insecurities run how I live it. I honestly never thought my mindset could change. I didnโt know how much this business would impact my life, how much self development would happen, that my confidence would grow and it would spark a passion in me I didnโt think I could have. I have joined a community of encouragers who pray for me, empower me to do better and call on me to make an impact on others. I am forever thankful God dropped this opportunity in my lap.
