I always laugh when people argue you have to be able to write cursive to read it. You really don't! While my 9 year old does enjoy learning cursive, my 6 year old has zero interest and probably never will. My 9 year old is at a kindergarten reading level and my 1st grader is about a 5-6th grade reading level. Yet, both of them have zero issue reading cursive. Expose your kids to lots of different fonts and it shouldn't matter if they can write cursive or not. It's outdated, times change. We don't have to know how to write cursive. I'd say all important documents can be found in print. You can learn to read cursive without being able to write it ❤️🤷🏻♀️ If you kids don't want to, you don't have to make them. They aren't missing out. I haven't used cursive since being forced as a 5th grader lol If our country also gets into modern times, signatures will soon be obsolete, too 🙌🏼
Movies that could have inspired #jokerfolieadeux In the comics Harley had mental issues since little but these never went on the light until she created a spray in college as an experiment to make people fall love and to remain in love, so she tasted it on her boyfriend but he got mad when she said the teacher tried to abuse her, a lie because the teacher refused her avances. To help her boyfriend, the teacher changed the formula of Harley but it got worse until that guy killed himself in front of Harley (as I remember). Apparently the spray had no effect on Harley because she was already a forever in love. This to say that Harley is able to manipulate people, at first Joker played with her to get out if jail but when she follows him at the end she's able to make him affectioned to her, often she's portrayed as stupid but she's not at all. She was able to get Batman various times and almost Killed Joker in multiple occasions, but they never gave her that power of cruelty, for how bad she can act she'll never be evil as Joker. In this case it can be the opposite and it would be brilliant. It's said both characters will show the worst of themselves in this film and hopefully we're gonna get her solo film too, I crave only one. Joker's fans wish to see a pure evil character or transformation and not somebody we can have empathy for, on the other hand Todd Philips never read a comic and admited that he named the movie Joker with everything that it brings with It because his first idea was rejected (fear of flop I guess), he consider himself original but he always takes inspirations by other films and this is what mostly divide the audience. What do you think of this unpopular opinion? Putting AirBnB aside, there are some great houses, apartments, cottages and lodges that you can book. Some of the suppliers that I work with have some unreal properties. Since being a parent I personally like having the space for my toddler to run round. On the other hand being in a hotel gives you that looked after feeling and who doesn’t want to feel spoilt? For me, I think it depends on the type of trip. When I’m travelling for a dance competition, having an apartment gives me more space to get all my kit there and get ready. But, if I’m having a big family holiday it’s my time away too and I like the hotel doing the cooking and cleaning (who doesn’t) What do you think? I seem to have a lot of #unpopularopinions lately 😂 What I liked … 🍋 about 300 pages in something happens and I have to say I wasn’t expecting it and it made me like the book more 🍋 the last 100 or so pages was more fast paced 🍋 learning more about the Syrian War What I didn’t like 🍋 Magical Realism isn’t something I’m a big fan of … Sometimes it works for me and sometimes it doesn’t - in this book I just didn’t enjoy it 🍋 I found the story was a lot of telling me things then showing me and very repetitive . #BookReview #unpopularopinions Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ I have been reading lots of great reviews for the book on #bookstagram and admittedly, they were the reason I bought the book in the first place. But, as I went through the book, I felt like it did not live up to all the praise it received. I found it extrememly wanting in character and fluency. The dialogues at times are unconnected and scenes seem to play out in fragments in front of your eyes. Beyond doubt, the theme of the book and the plot are very endearing, I mean who doesn't love a good dog eared second hand copy. The book begins with Takako losing her job because of her cheating boyfriend. After losing her self-confidence and on the verge of being broke, she shifts to her uncle's second-hand book store in Jimbochō. As she struggles to put together the pieces of her broken self esteem, she finds solace in the very old and musty books she hated at first sight. Someplaces in the book made the author seem like a friend to me, but others made me feel absolutely nothing. Part 2 of the book especially seemed devoid of tone and emotion to me. I think a lot of the book was lost in translation and the editing could have better. I know that communicating the writer's tone, emotions and cultural nuances is extremely difficult for any translator, but there are many great examples of translations from Japanese to English including Toshikazu Kawaguchi and Michiko Aoyama. I would not hesitate to recommend the book to booklovers but it wouldn't be one of my #mustread. La ceas de seară, câteva păreri despre “Numele mi-l știe vântul”. Vă zic, încă de pe acum, că nu am reușit să finalizez romanul. Nu știu cum scrie Isabel Allende în mod obișnuit (unii ați zis că v-a plăcut, dar cu alte cărți), cert este că volumul de față e un pic prea mult. Deși, la început, am avut speranțe că ne vom înțelege bine (în ciuda faptului că nu-mi mai plac cărțile cu evrei, având în vedere ce se petrece în Palestina), pe măsură ce am înaintat (cam 200 de pagini am reușit să citesc), am găsit tot mai multe personaje și povești diferite. Inițial mă conectasem cu Samuel, dar pe când a început să îmi placă, nu l-am mai regăsit, ci a trebuit să fac cunoștință cu alte personaje. Situației evreilor i s-a alăturat altă problemă legată imposibilitatea celor din Mexic de a emigra în America, plus un subiect sensibil legat de orfani și, ca și cum nu ar fi fost de ajuns, nu lipsește nici partea amoroasă care, sincer, m-a lăsat rece. De fapt, nu m-a lăsat rece, ci m-a dezgustat. Cam atât aș putea zice. Așteptam să văd exact de unde vine numele cărții (posibil să-i fi ratat însemnătatea în cele câteva pagini parcurse sau să nu fi fost dezvăluit), dar am fost prea supărată că, deși îmi doream să mă prindă și să fie o lectură lejeră îmbucurătoare, nu a fost. Care a fost experiența voastră cu această carte? V-a convins? Personal, nu cred că voi mai da vreo șansă autoarei. În cartea aceasta a încercat să surprindă multe și nu i-a ieșit. Poate că mai bine se oprea la cărțile deja publicate și nu întindea coarda cu aceasta. Książka była monotonna i powtarzalna. "Niezgodna" - zawsze uważałam tę serię za mniej udaną kopię moich ukochanych Igrzysk śmierci (dobrze, że jako dorosła przeczytałam "Battle Royale"). Była okej, ale bez szału. "Smak trucizny" - książka bardzo interesująca, ale ciężko było mi przez nią przebrnąć przez ogrom opisów. Akurat ta ocena wynika z mojej wybrakowanej wiedzy w temacie. "Woda dla słoni" - czytałam jako młodsza osoba i ogrooooomnie się wynudziłam.
