Oh BOY it has been a stressful weekend!! 😭 Please read my story about my recent diagnostic below ❤️ Two nights ago I was laying on my moms lap and out of nowhere my head started shaking like I was having a minor seizure. It was JUST my head, and I was still responding when I heard my name, and it lasted about 20 seconds. My Mom has never seen something like that before, and talked to a friend who works at an emergency vet who in turn spoke to a vet there. They said to schedule an appointment for blood work with our primary vet and if it happened again, to bring him to the emergency vet. Okay, perfect, so they kept a super close eye on me. WELL, today while my Mom was working, my Dad called and said it happened again but this time twice within 5 minutes (see video). So my Mom left work, grabbed myself and my Dad and went straight to the emergency vet. To tell you they were panicking and thinking the absolute worst is such an understatement. Well, what the vets concluded is I have a neurological disorder called Idiopathic Head Tremor. This disorder is not painful, it's not deadly, and it's not harmful. It's basically just tremors that can pop out of nowhere usually with dogs up to 4 years old. It can happen to any dog, any breed, purebred or mixed. There is no cure, and no specific reason for how or why it starts. I just have a minor disorder that, most likely, won't go away but THATS OKAY! My parents are so relieved, and are still scheduling an appointment to get bloodwork and a neurological exam done, but we are so blessed it's not something serious. This disorder is EXTREMELY similar to what a seizure could look like, so I wanted to share in case someone ever has a similar experience. THANK YOU so very much to VESH, our local animal hospital. You guys were amazing and definetly gave my parents some peace of mind. Hi I'm Astro and I'm up for adoption! I was dumped in the desert and found my way to the Mojave Air and Space Port where I went on an adventure on the flightline. After the Spaceport operations team corralled me, I spent a month in the Bakersfield shelter trying to find a home.
