The San Diego Aces had a good start to 2024 with our opening bag tag events at Morley Field and Brengle Terrace Park! @sdjackdaniels and @fcaparker (pictured) shot -13 and -11 to take home the #1 and #3 black tags at Morley on Sunday. The number 2 tag was awarded at Brengle to Greg Johnson with his -9 score on the 19-hole layout. Nin Chau took the #4 tag and Daunty Trager grabbed #6. Spring comes early on the southwest coast of the United States my almond tree has already flowered in fact the new year of trees in the Bible was on 24 January already and this is a very similar climate on my evening sunset walk I happen upon this group of flowers no doubt introduced they don't look like a native flower and there are no other flowers like them in Florida Canyon which is theoretically a native Canyon they try not to introduce plants too but they do in any case what a pleasant surprise they were like fire you can see why in Chinese medicine red is the color of the heart and also the color of fire and the color of summer and obviously the color associated with heat and a lot of the pathologies of the heart involved heart fire such as mania or insomnia in which case we do acupuncture treatments to clear the pathological heat out of the heart to circulate the key of the heart to circulate the key of the kidneys to establish the connection between the heart and kidneys so that the fire of the heart is grounded by the water of the kidneys that's a little bit complicated but there's a logic to it #FloridaCanyon #Morleyfield #flowerstagram #flowerstalking #Flowers #🌺 #Heartfire #acupuncture #kidneyqi #chinesemedicine

It happened. First ace!!! Morley Field hole 13 with my @innovadiscs Halo Sidewinder 🐍 I am so happy to have gotten this ace at my home course (which isn’t even my most played course) and with my favorite disc, and after only two years of playing! To top it all off I got a free disc from the @morley_field pro shop (147g Halo Tern.) The first summer I played disc golf (2019) I was on a road trip, and ended up playing at about 60-70 different courses. Since then I’ve been a “collector” of courses, playing at as many new ones as possible. I started this year with a goal of reaching 200 total courses played… looks like I need a new goal! Course #200 for me was Bohannon DGC in Tillamook, Oregon, which plays through and around the sports fields of a couple of local schools. Still have some new courses to collect on the way down to San Diego, plus some upcoming trips… maybe 220 by the end of the year? Hey There Run Crew! We return the the trails tonight meet at 6pm in front of the park sign. We’ll do a little dynamic warmup and chitchat before we take off at 6:15! ~4-5 miles taking scenic route through Balboa Park , Palm Canyon and Bridle Trail. Mix of sidewalk, road and dirt trails.
