Compressed air outlet install. Not posted on here for a while. After my trusty track pump died I decided to install a 12v compressor with a 6L collector tank. Perfect for bikes and seating tubeless mtb tyres. (I’ve tested it out, it works!) I have also checked/inflated all the van tyres which is cool. Everything is hidden away and I made a nice switch/outlet panel from a blank ‘puck’ and mounted it on the back of the electrics cabinet. Business in the front, party in the back. The garage area stores all the toys. There’s space to store two bikes fixed with our fork mounts and secured with a ground anchor. There’s access from the cab via a roller door giving the dogs a cosy place to sleep too. You’ll find the off grid electrical system and heating system back here housed in matching cabinets. There’s a hot water shower and bike wash that are accessed from the back doors too. Gestern die erste Nacht im Camper verbracht 🙂 Gibt aber so einige Punkte die verbessert werden muss dazu gehören vorne die Scheiben Verdunklung hinten is perfekt, der Vorhang reicht einfach nicht um Licht etc abzuschotten Ich habe mega bequem geschlafen war ausreichend Platz vorhanden so das ich nicht das Gefühl hatte erdrückt zu werden ! Und so machen auch die kleinsten Updates am Van großen Spaß 🥰 Dieses Wochenende Sollten endlich die doch recht einfachen Matratzen einer Gescheiten weichen. Also alles schön auf Maß geschnitten, fertig, wohlfühlen. Gerade nach einem Biketag ist guter Schlaf so wichtig. So können jetzt viele weitere Nächte im Jolly kommen. 🛌💤🌙 Weiter habe ich einen Teppichboden verlegt um etwas Gemütlichkeit und Grundwärme reinzubekommen. Fazit #Wintercamping: Als ich die Einladung zu einem Geburtstag im Januar erhielt, war für mich sofort klar, ein Hotelzimmer war keine Option. Gut, da wusste ich auch noch nicht, wie kalt es zu dieser Zeit werden würde. Und so kam es, dass es die erste Nacht im Jolly mit Minustemperaturen werden sollte. Ich dachte, es wäre schlau, wenn ich, während ich auf dem Geburtstag war, schon mal die Heizung anstellen würde. Allerdings hatte ich da die Rechnung ohne den Wirt gemacht. Denn als ich nachts zurück zum Jolly kam, war die Heizung aus, der Camper komplett ausgekühlt und die Heizung zeigte einen Fehler-Code. Ich fuhr also zunächst bei minus 9 Grad 🥶 zum ausgewählten Übernachtungsplatz und machte mich auf die Fehlersuche. Die Gaszufuhr sollte geschlossen sein. Aber alle Hebel waren offen, also ran an die Gasflaschen. Nur wie? Denn der Fahrradträger war festgefroren und ohne diesen wegzuklappen, komme ich nicht an die Hecktüren und somit nicht an die Gasflaschen. Der kurze Einfall mir Wasser abzukochen um damit den Träger aufzutauen, zeigte, wie sehr die Kälte mein Denkvermögen eingeschränkt hatte 🙈… wie soll ich ohne Gas Wasser abkochen. Naja, long Story short, ich habe es dann irgendwann, irgendwie geschafft und tatsächlich war der Crashsensor der Gasflaschen geschlossen. Nachdem die Heizung wieder lief, wurde es sehr schnell ordentlich warm im Jolly, allerdings waren Matratze, Decke und Kissen ordentlich ausgekühlt. Eine schöne warme Dusche hätte jetzt sicherlich geholfen. Aber bei diesen Temperaturen hatte ich natürlich auch die Wasserbehälter nicht befüllt. Schrauberei 🔧 die 2te Die letzten Tage habe ich mich endlich dran gemacht und die Airlineschienen an der linken Hecktüre befestigt. Nach ausreichender Trocknung konnte dann heute endlich das Pushrack System von @hookabike montiert werden. recent activities been working on creating a custom halo roof for the van, defeintly easier said than done. so far the panels have been cut and joined, carted with holes made for the lights and all cables ran for the lighting. this panel is now in the van but not attached as trying to clip this into the roof whilst holding it still from underneath is not an easy task. #vwcamper #transportert6 #vanbuild #campervan #youtube #mtbcamper #slammedvans #modifiedvans

A look back at 2023, crazy to see how things have changed over 2023 and can't wait to see what happens throughout 2024. It's nice to look back and see how the van is slowly becoming what I imagined it to be 12 months ago when I sat down and switched on a camera to make the first episode. Thanks to everyone for all the support this year on the YouTube, I am only going to build it more and push to put out better and more frequent content for you all.
