after last night, i finally feel a little less split in half, all thanks to the power of an orange NC moonrise. if you can look at the 🌌 and NOT feel small, we wouldn’t be friends. sorry not sorry originally this trip was going to be short — to FL and back. however my anxiety was worse than ted lasso’s mid panic attack, and i needed to get away from the community of “leaders” jeopardizing my career. feeling trapped is something i’ve struggled with since i was a kiddo, now it’s something i physically must avoid to stay healthy. instead of running away, or binge drinking, or hiding from the world, i’m running fiercely towards being the best i can be. it’s nights like last night that comfort my weary heart about this entire crap shoot that is american society. #blueridgeparkway at night is just as good as it is during the day. i mean that moon? Crabtree Falls is beautiful. We hiked about 4 miles round trip, with the second half of the hike being uphill for a good portion, and my legs are feeling it! The kids barely complained, which is big for them (the younger two) on a more strenuous hike. The weather was perfect and the mountain air was refreshing.
