I saw #fibremoododyna and fell in love ♥️ When I took a first glimpse of the new #neridahansenfabrics in cooperation with @verheestextiles I knew which fabric will be my Odyna 😍 LOVE lime green in combination with purple so much! Calls for spring and summer and warm days 🥳 I bought this fabric @pepelinchen (everything self bought, names are advertisements because of my personal preference). The harder part was to find the matching yarn and buttons and was very happy when I found them 🥳 Also it wasn’t so easy to match every line in the front but did my best - may be not perfect at all 😅 Love everything about it! Before making this @helens__closet #gilberttop I made the fabric. I did this by trimming and overlocking two similar sized scraps, pressing to one side, and sewing a decorative stitch on top. It took half a day to make the fabric, and that much time again to sew it into this top. The sleeves were made with fabric bought from @spotlightstores and the yellow #gingham comes from my Nan’s collection. She was a talented sewer and dressmaker and I inherited her stash almost twenty years ago 🥹❤️ I sourced buttons from my vintage stash and coordinated with the dominant colour of the button holes. This detail gives me so much joy. I did the same Gilbert modifications as previous post. I should add that I also do as small as possible a seam allowance on sides and sleeves so that the top can easily stretch across my back when my arms are reaching in front of me. I’m sure I could hack the pattern more effectively but this method works for now. This is the lovely #sagebrushtop by @fridaypatterncompany in a colourful, lightweight @neridahansenfabrics cotton that I purchased for @sarahsimplelifeuk. It’s so gorgeous I was a little scared to use it. I love this woven t-shirt pattern for the big sleeves. I chose not to put the front frill on my top this time but kept everything else the same. I’ve added an ‘I’m unique’ label from @little.rosy.cheeks to finish it off. Ich bin wirklich so stolz auf dieses Set. Als ich den Stoff sah, wusste ich sofort was dataus entstehen soll 😍 Ein Zweteiler, der kombiniert miteinander wie ein Jumpsuit wirkt. Ich bin seit letztem Jahr total im Culotte Fieber und freue mich endlich dieses Projekt umgesetzt zu haben... Mit dem perfekten Stoff! Ein leichter Baumwoll-Popelin aus der @neridahansenfabrics Kollektion. Mir war es wichtig, dass sich alles möglichst gut anpassen lässt, und so sind die Träger des Tops verstellbar und auch der Bund der Hose lässt sich durch ein Knopfgummi enger stellen. Had to scrape together enough fabric for the frill so the gingham doesn’t quite match up on the bottom level, but this is only a problem when I twirl (which is almost always - this dress is so swooshable!) Sewing machine got to see the daylight again. Crocodile shirt is now waiting for summer to start! The lower part of the shirt, below the sleeves, is separate from the upper part. I hoped to have the crocodiles facing different direction, but despite thinking it through I cut the fabric wrong direction and did not have enough to fix my mistake! The result is fun either way!
