A few weeks ago after not painting for a while mostly because I was busy with daily responsibilities of taking care of my family and home, I wanted to create but could not, I yearned to paint but I didn't know where to begin, this is what I did, I just let out my energy onto the canvas creating a flame, my soul yearned so I added Hebrew letters for the word Neshoma. Each one of us are created with a Neshoma, a breath of life, the G-dly spark within us, we yearn to reconnect to our source. The soul is always burning like a flame reaching up to heaven, striving to reach higher and remember it's true identity. One flame, one soul can ignite many other souls wakening them to their purpose in life. So each one of us are created with G-dliness and a mission to fullfil to bring light into the world.

With a heavy heart, shock and disbelief, today we buried my rock, my everything, my teacher, supporter, protector, my source of life, creation and all good I know of, my dear father: Ben Tzion ben Shiftan (My name "Shiftan" Yisrael, comes from my grandfather, my father's father) . . . This is an extremely serious blow, and I can't even begin to comprehend why this has occured, today. He was supposed to physically be by my chasuna and births of all of my future children and their weddings! . . . Yet, Hashem seperated his body from his souI, on erev rosh chodesh Nisan, in the afternoon, right as I was saying tehillim and fasting with other holy brothers and sisters around the world Wed March 25, 2020 (29th day of Adar 5780) around 11:36am to 12:18pm!!! . . . I am his youngest child, the baby boy. My two older sisters my dear mother and I, mourn this overwhelming, loss! Yet on this 2nd day of Nisan, 5780 I am here to inspire and not make you sad... And, also have a heartfelt request, in the merit of which you should get all revealed blessings, and be protected from all dangers and have the sweetest blessings... . . . As Tony Robbins teaches, "Life has no meaning besides the meaning that I give it!" And, therefore, yes I am broken, devastated and a bit comprehensively beaten up by this, but this is the beginning and absolutely NOT the end!! I celebrate my dad's life on this earth and all the good he has done for every one of us, as close family members know intimately... He taught me to be an honest man, and to have strength and fear nothing!!! After I mourn this heavy, confusing loss, I will be sure, God willing, beli neder to spring up into massive new heights in every single regard - physical, spiritual, emotional, financial, communal and as a huge contributor to society - in his honor and to lift up his soul to the highest levels in heaven till Moshaich times and techiyat hamaytim!!! . . . Below is the explanation of the “Alef “ painting. The Alter Rebbe once summoned a young disciple of the Maggid and said to him in his customary chant: I have the mitzva of "teach them to your children." You have the mitzva of sustaining and providing for your family. Let us make an exchange. I will give you what you need to fulfill your mitzva and you will teach my son (who was later the Mitteler Rebbe). Then the #rebbe explained the method of instruction: The first thing is to teach the letters, alef, beit and so on. What is an alef? A dot above, a dot below, and a line between this is an alef. A child must know that the alef of Torah is a yud above, a yud below, and a line of faith that joins them.
