It was right on time coming off such a rough 2023 and just the fatigue of getting back into a regular routine while having PTSD from 2023. 😭 Greg is doing so good post op and chemo (y’all see him growing out all the hair now 🤨) …. the kids are happy and resilient as ever👹👹. Part 3, Dawes Glacier This afternoon saw us travelling through stunning scenery to Dawes Glacier. It is the first time in 2 years the cruise ship has been able to get so close. Such a treat! We sailed through Endicott Arm Fjord and witnessed the Hanging Glacier, whales, seals and endless crystal blue icebergs. Photos (particularly on my iPhone) cannot do this place justice. Simply stunning 🤩 Honestly I have managed to tick off so many bucket list items on this trip it feels surreal. What day … Part 1 We started with an early morning port stop in Juneau. It was literally freezing as we disembarked from the ship but the blue skies and clear weather were magical. We were then lucky enough to head up to the Mendenhall Glacier National Park where we had magnificent views of the Mendenhall Glacier and Nugget Falls. Juneau, Alaska… did a really pretty scenic hike on the Gold Creek Flume Trailhead. Was easy, peaceful, super relaxing. Definitely can recommend. From there I branched off and did the Mt. Roberts (Wooshkeenax Deiyí) Trailhead… was challenging, especially when it turned snowy. But so pretty and quiet. #alaska #juneau #hikingadventures #norwegianbliss

One of the areas we really enjoyed on @norwegiancruiseline Bliss, was The Waterfront on Deck 8. Some of the most popular speciality restaurants are on this deck and they have outside tables for you to dinner al fresco. There is no need to worry about it being cold outside as there are built in heaters above the tables. The restaurant in the photos is La Cucina - the Italian speciality restaurant on the Bliss. We think NCL have really nailed it with this option and we are looking forward to travelling on the Norwegian Prima in December as they have expanded The Waterfront to include infinity pools and sunbeds!
