I wasn't going to buy the Miniverse kitchen but then I found out it came with two recipes you can only get with the kitchen. And then I noticed other adult miniverse peeps remodeling theirs. So I bought a returned one, cheap on Amazon. It looks blah. So tonight I started my remodel, hoping to be finished by my birthday in two weeks. It'll take a bit as I ordered a new countertop and oven overlay and I have to wait. Tonight I removed all drawer and cabinet handles and spray painted them metallic rose gold, as well as the faucet. The buttons have very light hand painted coats as the oven is a working UV light and I want it to remain working. Then I used acetone to remove the silly dots on the cabinet doors and finally replaced the cardboard backsplash with dollhouse vinyl floor "tile". #ongoingproject #miniversekitchen #miniversekitchenremodel #notfinishedyet

To call it a stamp collection would be to exaggerate its degree of organisation: it’s just some old stamps in a tin. Some in an envelope inside the tin and some in a tin within a tine. And it’s not just stamps; there are also some little cards that look like some sort of collection. I took quite a few pictures of stamps (front and back; I’m nothing if not thorough) before deciding I was more intrigued by the reflection of the tin on its own lid. 🚵🏾♂️THIRTY THIRD LEG🚵🏾♂️ . This was quite a milestone day as I was making a push for Auckland where I left on this adventure around 6 weeks ago. . I knew I wouldn’t be able to make it all the way to my start point as it was just too many kilometres however I wanted to get as close as I could.. . I spent almost all of the day on highway 22 (22 has always been my guiding number) which was a really beautiful road but was a constant up and down with very few flat sections. . It may have been a ‘highway’ but it was very quiet with only a few other vehicles from time to time which always means you can enjoy the ride and relax a bit more.. . I stopped off for a bit of lunch and a break at St Albans church which was a nice little surprise and my sister happened to call at the same time. I told her where I was and she said why don’t I come and pick you up just South of Auckland to save you having to ride through all the heavy traffic like I had to do when I left. . Coupled with that the weather was saying rain the next day so I decided to gratefully accept the offer which meant I could book in my bike for a well needed service ready for the last push to the North Cape. . It was also an opportunity to offload some other items that had become surplus to requirements so that the bike was a little bit lighter for the section where I would be riding for 80km or so on the beach. . It was lovely to see the family again and I was treated to some amazing home cooking also. I hate that in the time since I reclaimed this room from junk to turn it into a home studio the junk has started to creep back in and hide the stuff I wanted to work with. And I hate the randomness of it. I also slightly hate that I have been sucked into repeatedly examining this one bag of postcards rather than moving on to other things. I hate that in the time since I reclaimed this room from junk to turn it into a home studio the junk has started to creep back in and hide the stuff I wanted to work with. And I hate the randomness of it. I also slightly hate that I have been sucked into repeatedly examining this one bag of postcards rather than moving on to other things. So today’s task: find something that really shouldn’t be here, record it and throw it away! Job done. And no, I have no idea why there was a bag of rubbish on the comfy chair. What I do know is that it wasn’t me. The hallway is coming along 🙂 Fresh coat of paint ☑️ Shelves are in ☑️ (They have a space for my shoes and work/ gym bag plus all the books I’m keeping…so many are going to the freecycle, along with a load of old DVD’s) Coat rack is up & level, I did it myself, thank you very much!!! ☑️ I’m going to paint some little flowers💐 🎨 around the doorframe at some point & maybe do a little flower mural on the free bit of wall space 🌺🌻🌸🌹🪻 🥰 In other news the Bathroom is still underway, hoping I might find time & energy to do a bit of it tomorrow. Unfortunately the kitchen cupboard handles are a bespoke size so really expensive to replace, & I’ve decided I’m just going to give Rub ‘n’ Buff a try (I’ve heard it works well), so will update how that turns out when I’ve found time to sort them.
