A few years ago I never thought I would even have a baby, let alone ever imagine that I would be feeding that baby in the ocean mesmerised by the beautiful surroundings. I can get so caught up in the day to day tasks, that I don't often take the time out to process how special every moment with him is. Sitting in the ocean with only the sound of waves crashing around us, I was able really soak everything in. The immense privilege I have to be blessed with a baby after previous struggles. That I have the ability to feed and provide nourishment for him too. I'll be the first to admit the last 9 months have been extremely challenging, however I'm so full of love and incredibly grateful that I get to be his mum 🥹 Images by the beautiful @lauriemarechalphotography that I'll treasure forever x

[ad] Hoppers Garden Bar 📍 The fact I didn’t know this vibey spot was tucked away in the middle of Ponsonby is criminal tbh. They have deals all throughout the week but my favourite has to be the $14 margaritas from 4-6pm daily AND all evening on Thursday. I tried the jalapeño cucumber marg as well as the mango chilli, both absolutely slayed & were the perfect balance of sweet, spicy, sour & strong! We tried a bunch of food from their winter menu including the wagyu brisket cheeseburger which blew me away. This has got to be the best burger I’ve had from a bar, the beef was so flavourful & perfectly cooked, their burger sauce was so addicting. Just a great all round burger, I highly highly reccomend! The fish sliders were another great dish, nice fat piece of snapper covered in yummy house made tartare on a fresh roll, can’t beat it. The steak frites came with a delicious red wine jus but the steak was a biiiit too rare for me, my fault for not clarifying I’m a medium girly though 😂 the fried chicken was also great, had a great crunchy coating & came with house made ranch. I thought we better order a vegetable dish for balance lol & I’m glad I did. The cucumbers were sitting in a tumeric whipped goats cheese & it was the perfect bite of crunch & freshness when the oiliness got a bit much. The goats cheese would’ve been great with some bread. Keep in mind it’s pretty loud here but still a vibe. I was super impressed by the food & the cocktails were great! 🍻🍔

When you use half the tub before you remember to get a photo with it... 🙊 Really love the cooling feel on application and thick gel texture of this! I've used aloe from my parents' garden for skincare since I was little, but not so much now I don't have time to harvest it. This gel has a ton of organic California aloe and is definitely more convenient, very mild and a better texture. Great for immediate cooling relief on sunburns or I've just been using it as daily light non-sticky hydration.

I've always been a raw and real person - this often comes with consequences...because- my mouth..🤣 so that being said.. here's an honest opinion of what it has been like relocating to Ozz - I had to get Kurt to jump on facebook and look at suburbs and NZ to Ozz forums.. to be fair, it was a bit of a waste of time. There are too many opinions.. One of them being don't bring your furniture. I can wholeheartedly say if I could go back and pack all my belongings into a container I would have because setting up here is expensive. The 3-hour time difference has been smashing the kids these past 2 weeks, and there have been full-on meltdowns 🫠 -cars here (Brizzy) are very expensive and public transport isn't the best so you'll find that in order to do anything you'll need to invest in two, preferably one with a tow bar or a truck- we soon realised we can't pick up any furniture and it has been a nightmare - Facebook marketplace here is full of scammers. I went into the middle of nowhere for nothing the other day 🤣 (lucky I didn't pay online) -BIRDS! They are NOISY and wake you up at 5am..😆 Homes here are HUGE, so be prepared for buying two of everything because there are a minimum of 2 bathrooms in most homes.. they sometimes feel stuffy and cage-like, and fences are high and walls paper-thin, I'm guessing no interior insulation as it gets hot here.
