Topped up on vitamin D and dressed as a sun goddess for a recent photoshoot at the Botanic Gardens. ☀️ Since this shoot was out in public it took a lot of confidence to pull it off. My plans for the rest of the month 😊 I am working on the Bloom sweater, which I've started in June 2020 and knitted just the 3 cm long sleeves 🙈 This is a beautiful bottom up sweater 🌸 I have had afraid about the yarn amount, so I decided to make a provisional cast on and knit the lace yoke first. After the yoke finished, yesterday I picked up the cast on and continued the body section top down. Now I need to cake up the second skein and do the helical knitting method for a few rounds with the two yarns. Today I'm combatting the first snowy day blues (and general existential dread) with an aggressively cheerful outfit. This oldie but goodie is the Out and About Dress from @caroline.hulse's defunct pattern label Sew Caroline, made with @cloud9fabrics organic cotton interlock knit in *the* most adorable print by @madebyrae. If memory serves, I shortened the waist and lengthened the skirt on this. Also, the style is supposed to fit more snugly in the bodice, but is now at least a size too big, and I kind of love the generous fit. . This Cloud 9 interlock is one of my favorite cozy, stretchy fabrics for everyday wear in cold weather--and yes we do have several prints in stock, though not this one sadly!
