On Sunday afternoon, a group of quieteers returned to Kimberley Park for the first Park Live of 2024. Hosted by the local Falmouth radio station Source FM it has live sets played by a variety of bands. We started with the local Gospel Choir who filled the stage and filled the park with their beautiful vocals. Then we had acoustic sets, rhythm and blues and more mainstream guitar groups. All were supremely talented and enjoyable in the welcome sunshine 🌞 If you fancy coming to join us at the next one on Sunday 26th May, we will again be hanging out in Kimberley Park 😀 Details will be posted soon on our website. Las últimas 48 horas han sido muy emotivas: Damon ha sido uno de mis grandes héroes desde que era niño (desde el 98, para ser preciso) y jamás imaginé tenerlo tan de cerca. Además, Dave fue todo un caballero (los días de Nardwuar han quedado muy atrás), Alex fue Alex en modo cumpleañero (se equivocó firmando mi 𝘗𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦) y Graham seguirá siendo el genio recluido al que amamos (alcancé a cruzar al menos dos oraciones con él). Hasta Smoggy firmó mi copia de 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘉𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘢𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘋𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘦𝘯. Nunca había pagado primera fila para un evento y me alegra haber elegido éste para ver tremendo espectáculo tan de cerca. Me derrumbé en "Beetlebum", grité como nadie con las sorpresotas de "Trouble in the Message Centre" y "Strange News from Another Star", descubrí que "Country House" es considerable mejor en vivo, y fui absorbido por la energía del público (te amo mucho, Bogotá). La música en vivo llegó a su pico anoche. Creo que incluso con todo lo que he fastidiado por acá no logro expresar lo importante que es esta banda para mí.
