Dziś pobudka o 2:50. W sumie to mało spaliśmy z obawy, że spóźnimy się na transport… O 3:30 wyjechaliśmy na słynne Rainbow Mountains 🌈🗻, by o 7:00 wyruszyć na trekking, jeszcze przed przyjazdem setek busów z tysiącem turystów. Day 3 - Cusco - Rainbow Mountain Today was quite the adventure! 4am pickup for our excursion to rainbow mountain. A crazy 4 hour drive up into the mountains on tiny, one way dirt roads that zig and zag up the side of cliffs. Then it was a crazy hike up to 16,500 ft elevation. Definitely the highest point either of us have ever been. They say the oxygen in the air up here is 50% less than at sea level. We definitely felt it. Stephen made it all the way to the top, and the view looked incredible! We were both exhausted by the time we got back to our hotel around 5pm. Wiedzieliście, że tęcza może mieć tylko dwa kolory? Biały i czarny? . Jedną z najnowszych atrakcji turystycznych Peru jest Rainbow Mountain (pol. Tęczowa Góra). Najnowszych, bo jeszcze jakieś 20 lat temu pokryta była śniegiem. Żyjemy jednak w erze zmian klimatycznych, których efekty widać gołym okiem. Śniegi stopniały odsłaniając kolory, a potem potrzebny był już tylko jeden turysta, który udostępniając zdjęcia w mediach społecznościowych spopularyzował miejsce na świecie. . Skąd te kolory? O kochani, cała tablica Mendelejewa ma swój udział w tym cudzie natury. Także czerwona glina, błoto, piasek, kwarc, piaskowce, margle, skały ilaste, fyllity, żelazomagnez, zlepieńce, minerały siarkowe. No wszystko tu znajdziecie. A to tworzy kolejny problem. . Okolica jest naprawdę bogata w minerały. A minerały (szczególnie te rzadkie), są całkiem cennym surowcem w dzisiejszych czasach. Także tutaj były plany ich wydobycia przez kanadyjską spółkę. Społeczne protesty różnych stron doprowadziły do odłożenia tych planów. Protestowali ekolodzy, bo natura. Protestowali przedstawiciele turystyki, bo dochody z odwiedzających. I tak oto mamy ciekawą kombinację katastrofy związanej ze zmianą klimatu ze skutecznymi działaniami chroniącymi środowisko naturalne. . No dobra, ale o czym Wy właściwie mówicie? Przecież na zdjęciach widać tylko śnieg. Takie nasze szczęście, że akurat w dniu kiedy odwiedziliśmy Vinicunca (taka jest tradycyjna nazwa szczytu), zasypało ją całkowicie. Zamiast siedmiu kolorów mieliśmy dwa i to nie takie, jak myśleliśmy. Palcoyo Mountain, Cusco, Pérou 🇵🇪 Toute personne qui vient au Pérou veut voir les rainbow mountains! 🌈Mais comme souvent ces endroits sont très touristiques.. plusieurs possibilités.. soit y aller encore plus tôt que tout le monde, soit choisir un lieu alternatif…🤫 Nous avons choisi le lieu alternatif (marre de se lever à 4h du mat 😛) ! Palcoyo Moutain c’est une petit communauté Péruvienne, des lamas et des alpagas 🦙dans la nature et des mountagnes colorées, ou de terre rouge avec de la végétation ici et là! On a senti les 4900m d’altitude ! 😧 mais pas pire ! On ne voulait pas partir mais étant en tour il y avait un chrono 😉 merci à @machupicchureservations pour encore une fois faire bien les choses ! Il faut compter un droit d’entrée de 15 soles(environ 3,5€ ou 5CAD) ! Moins chère que la grande sœur ! Départ à 5h et retour à 16h max! 🏔️🌈 Rainbow Mountain Traveler Tips 📌 Save this post for reference! 📍Located 3-3.5 hours from Cusco, Peru. 🏔️ SUPER high elevation: 17,060 feet which is almost the elevation of Mount Everest Base Camp. 🙅♀️ Don’t book to visit right when you land in Peru, acclimatize in Cusco for a few days first. 🤢🍃 To avoid altitude sickness, you can chew coca leaves and take altitude meds. 🚽🧻 Bathrooms along the trail for 2 soles each. 🥪 Can also buy drinks, snacks and souvenirs from locals along the way. 🐴 You can pay extra to ride a horse part way but I highly recommend the hike. 🚌 Roughly a 3 hour round trip hike to get there. 13. You can do a bus tour from Cusco for about $35 but it takes a lot longer with a group for all the hotel pick ups and drop offs so expect to leave around 3:30am and be back around 5pm. 🥾 Wear good shoes, the terrain is rough! The air will feel thin. 🌦️ Be prepared for all kinds of weather: we had fog, hail, cold winds and bright, sunny skies. 🎒Pack light layers, it will be cold at the top 🧍🏻♂️Our tour guide Freddy was wonderful! 🌈 ⛰️ Montana Vinikunka 5036m - ziemlich krasses Gefühl, hier oben zu stehen 😁 Man darf den Ausblick außen rum aber auch nicht vergessen, der Ausangate 🏔️ mit seinen über 6000m ist fast der schönere Anblick im Vergleich zum Rainbow Mountain, vor dem sich die Touristen türmen. Hier muss man in Kauf nehmen, dass man nicht alleine ist, oder sich einer teurere Tour buchen, die früher startet bzw. mit einem eignen Fahrer nach den Touristenmassen hingehen.
