Woooo.. what a weekend! Hands down the best race I’ve ever ran ~ it was SO MUCH FUN!! ✨ and so magical! Although I didn’t really appreciate having to wake up at 3.15am to be ready to be in position for 5am 😒 BUT it was totally worth it! I’m also really proud of myself for doing this race aswell. I’d got sick before hand and I didn’t train for this race, and still got a PB. It’s amazing what you can push your body to do when you need to! I already can’t wait to sign up for more RunDisney events!! ✨👟💗 The whole experience was so magical and so amazing, and well organized. I didn’t want to keep getting my phone in and out of my little bag so I didn’t manage to record a lot of the race… but they have screens showing characters, and music, the characters are there and not just the princesses.. you can take photos with them if you want, so much entertainment. I didn’t run with headphones and you don’t need to. The queen of hearts and the Evil Queen from Snow White where there! There was a white Hummer blasting pop tunes. Disney music is played aswell obviously! Mc’s along the way. And of course you get to run through Main Street and the castle! And finishing back at Epcot. There was a marching band! And a Gospel Choir! and fireworks 💥 to start the race! What is something that’s changed for you throughout the years? For me one of the biggest things that has changed is my running. ✨🏃♀️✨ I would run so many miles every other day. Then it all changed. Mentally I still can’t really focus on how this has all changed because it feels so fresh, BUT. ✨👏🏻✨ God has been so good and given me a great PT who has helped me find a way to still run, even if it’s not as much or as often as I once did. I’m really looking forward to the @rundisney summer virtual race that starts NEXT WEEK. Even if I end up having to walk most of the 5k I’m still going to do it. But I’m praying I get to run/walk the entire thing! ✨🏃♀️✨ I’ve learned more about the Run Walk Run method by @jeffgallowayolympian and I’m loving it! ✨🏃♀️✨ When reading up on it I loved this description of the method, “Delivers all of the running enhancements without exhaustion or pain”. That’s what I need! The fun of and benefits of running WITHOUT all the pain and exhaustion I was used to feeling. ✨🏃♀️✨ If I had stayed stuck in my past and focusing on what I used to be able to do, I wouldn’t have discovered that I can still do a version of what I love. Sometimes our changes bring different versions or something entirely new into our lives. Either way it’s important for us to open up ourselves to these changes instead of closing off. ✨ Trust me it’s much better to be open than closed. I’ve learned from experience. ✨💪🏻✨ Whatever you need to let go of and open yourself up to – do it. Do it TODAY. They are inspiring me! In fact I have several clients heading to #WDW for this #rundisneyevent! Now my wheels are turning and I think I need to experience a little #disneyrace! Here is my other thoughts...I put all of myself into planning other people’s trips. I literally plan your #vacation better than my own.
