No major change, still the same layout, same equipments with the coffee bar powered by two groupheads Synesso machine. Well, it's already good as it is, and it has been attracting quite a good followers among coffee lovers in Singapore, despite being quite well-hidden in its location at Waterloo. The queue was pretty long and had to wait for quite a bit under a scorching sunny day. The staff gave us complementary iced lemon tea while we were waiting, not bad from a service's point of view! It was a super hot and humid day, so the most logical choice is to go with the iced drinks, and the staff recommended an iced white with the single origin coffee from Costa Rica. Knowing their usual 'mild tasting' coffee from the past experience, I had to opt in for an additional shot, and as expected, it came out to be a good decision. Back to Mac for a trail run in my new @craftsportswearasia Craft Nordlite Ultra shoes after nearly a year! Itâs my first time trying out this Swedish brand and I loved it! Itâs lightweight and stable, with a Cr Foam midsole that apparently reduces weight but provides cushion and stability. Definitely a shoe I would use for regular trail runs around Macritchie (I really should come back more often) as itâs pretty light but has good grip and traction to counter those slippery gravel stones. Also wore a crop top and shorts from @craftsportswearasia, love the light material of the crop top (do note thereâs no padding so you would need to wear a sport bra underneath tho) and also how the shorts has two side pockets (pretty important for me!) No abrasion and generally quite comfy for this distance, will probably try them on longer runs. Anyway we ended at @sod_upperthomson for breakfast with their signature fried chicken with buttery brioche and tan milk tea (I always order the same!), highly recommended if youâre running at Mac as itâs just two bus stops away. Btw heads up, @runninglabsg will be holding a treadmill challenge on 4 May for the Craft Nordlite Ultra, where you can run/jog 400m for a chance to win this pair of hybrid shoes meant for both road and trail. Continuing the series with @flipcoffeeroasters Check out this place if you're looking for very good coffee in Bukit Timah. The cafe is situated along the famous stretch in Bukit Timah Road, lined with good restaurants and cafes. They serve espresso-based coffee and drip (filter) using beans from their own roastery. Upon the recommendation from the friendly barista, whom I've told I'm into funky stuff, I tried the espresso flight extracted from beans from Indonesia, and also drip brewed from beans from Colombia. Both were funky and very impressive, especially the drip which has really strong Kyoho grapes and liquorice taste notes. I was also impressed with the large selections of drip options available! It's a really good place to enjoy excellent coffee, good service, and a good book ðâïž
ðRollney Had the Hokkaido Milk Kurtos Roll w the Butterscotch topping ($6 for one topping & +$0.50 for another topping) after lunch & I was worried bc I canât seem to finish the ice cream as the portion was huge & for the first time I rlly wish there was someone else there to finish a dessert (this) w me. It was a âïž4/10 & hereâs why⊠The Hokkaido Milk ice cream tasted like a normal vanilla thatâs low fat- thereâs nth special to me tbh, maybe bc itâs not as sweet as Iâd like to be & the topping doesnât taste like a good butterscotch. The roll itself was very hard & VERY SWEET. Too sweet, too tough- I didnât take a second bite of the roll. If you miss the black wonton noodles in JB or prefer your noodles without the tangy acidity, head there to try before 1.30pm for lunch!

You would cut this raviolo straight down the middle for the funniest softest egg, flowing out straight from the middle. I have never seen an egg yolk so vibrant, so creamy, so orange. - This delivered in every single way, and I canât recommend it more. How did they nail this? ðYishun 928 Laksa ð Laksa - Small ($3.60) ðð»ðð» âïžâïžâïžâïž/5 Had this laksa a vvv long time ago when I was still a child & watching Zermatt Neoâs laksa challenge vid brought me back here again :â) Donât be deceived by this small bowl, itâs packed full of ingredients & the amount of noodles in there was rlly substantial ð® The laksa gravy had a slightly thicker consistency & flavourful but didnât come across as too heavy/overwhelming. Spice level was mid so add that chilli if you prefer it spicier! The last time I ate laksa proper was some good years ago so I donât rlly have a basis of comparison but this was a pretty decent bowl of laksa! Priced at $3.60 with such portions, itâs truly affordable & worth the money. Would recc a try if youâre in the hood but do head down earlier to avoid the snaking long queue !!

Goma bakebox from 2am bakes: Goma terrine, goma madeleine, gomatcha earl grey gateau, gomajicha mochi tart Was excited to finally try 2am bakes but felt that for this box, there were either a few too many flavours competing with each other or just pure goma (great for those who like an intense goma taste). The madeleines were also a little dry.
