Yeah💪🏼, 終於嚟到29號啦，First Day of Term 2，經過呢兩星期，B仔嘅第一個Term Break終於完啦，而我同B媽都試咗咩叫Term Break，學咗要點樣安排活動，咩類型活動會適合B仔，就回顧一下安排咗咩活動比B仔同B媽啦🧐 Madagascar Musical - 早幾月前就買定飛，位置好前，個show只係70分鐘長，好適合無咩耐性嘅B仔， 佢都好enjoy，到琴晚訓覺問佢邊個節目最鍾意，佢答係睇呢個show。 其實B媽又點會咁好同B仔出去睇show🤪，實情係佢想自己出街，就搵B仔過橋，個show 2pm開始，佢哋10am就出門口，出去食個lunch，再去打咗陣機，之後先睇show，差d食埋dinner先返嚟，我覺得最開心其實係B媽😄 砌圖－上年B仔生日，有同學送咗一套成1.5m 長嘅砌圖比佢，但對佢嚟講其實有d難，所以一直未開，要襯呀妹訓咗，就三個一齊同佢砌。 Mini Golf⛳️ － 唔知係唔係之前兩個出街出上癮，有一日B媽無端端話帶B仔去打Mini Golf (我之前叫B媽同我去打Golf, 無一次去😤，而家竟然主動話去打Mini-Golf😩)，就係咁，佢哋就出咗去打Mini-golf， 得返我同妹妹喺屋企🥺 摘蘋果－ 有個喺Martinborough 嘅蘋果園有event，咁啱天氣又非常好，所以就去咗摘蘋果，可能今次已經第二次去，B仔知道做d咩，會幫手摘蘋果。本來今次係諗住騎Pony，點知一入到去B仔話肚餓，所以食咗嘢先，食完嘢，隻Pony已經太累，截咗籠 Wellington Zoo - Zoo Keeper Day - 原來Wellington Zoo都有d好正既Holiday Programme， Become a zoo keeper day, 返嚟之後同我講，佢最鍾意就係可以幫Kangaroo執屎 仲有時見好天，就出去踩單車，去下公園，行下街，玩下board game，節目好豐富。諗返其實有個Term Break 比佢哋都幾好，可以比佢放鬆下 #紐西蘭日常 #紐西蘭爸B #紐西蘭 #生活日常 #威靈頓香港人 #土木工程師 #紐西蘭香港人 #termbreak做咩好 #termbreakholiday #termbreak

Day five, part two and day six. More exploring into the main square of Assisi (including a quickly abandoned hike up to Rocca Maggiore, the medieval fort WAY up the hill) and a quiet, sunset evening at my bedroom window. Both nights, I had feline visitors in the walkway a floor below my window. And that's the thing about Assisi. You enter my hotel from the front entrance, you're at ground level. But get in the elevator, the entrance is on level three and my room was DOWN two levels on the backside of the building, but I was still a good floor above the street outside. It felt so good to get back to Oxford, especially when I had to adjust my train travel between the Liverpool Street Station and London Paddington. This trip was exhausting, but beautiful. People say travel changes you, but I don't think I really understood what that means until recently. There is a version of myself that exists only in Florence, a version in Assisi, in Oxford, and back home. There is also a version of me that exists alongside all those pieces that has experienced each of these places and remains caught there. Travel is a changing, heartbreaking, wonderful experience. Day five, part one was mostly dedicated to the Basilica di San Francesco d'Assisi. It's a bit of a surprise once you get inside. Of course it looks big from the outside, but it just keeps sprawling in every direction once you get inside. At this point in the trip, I was pretty tired, so getting to slowly stroll through the church was a welcome break. It was also a gorgeous day, about 78 degrees, and all sunshine. Day four, part two. Assisi is... Well... It is a hill. And then it's a hill growing on a hill. To go up, you have to go down and around and back up again. Safe to say no one living here will ever be out of shape! Visited the Basilica di Santa Chiara, got to see some of the relics from Saint Clara and Saint Francis's lives (no photography allowed in any of the churches here, so those aren't present), hiked up to Porta Nuova, and then as far as the Saint Francis Monument. It was so strange to be walking down a street and to find random frescos on the walls. Just out there in the open, no biggie. Oh, and photo 9? Yeah. Taken while standing on the street looking down at the SAME street where it doubles back on itself. As promised, here is more Italy! Day four, part one. The day started with a train ride from Florence to Assisi, then the obligatory hotel room photos. Guys, I had a loft and spiral staircase in my room! And the view... Absolutely killer. Then, because it's the best way I know to acclimate and fight off anxiety-induced hermit-mode, I had to get out and explore. That necessarily included some fantastic strawberry gelato eaten in the courtyard outside Chiesa di Santa Pietro with a great view over the valley. Also, last photo is an honorable mention from day three. Some of you might remember a post from back in February when I started cutting out fabric for a dress. This is it! Hey everyone! As we gear up for the term break from April 15th to 21st, there will be no regular classes. However, we're thrilled to offer some fantastic opportunities to keep the kids active during these school holidays. We have a sparring camp on April 16th-17th. Focused on beginners to intermediate’s developing the student's skills and understanding of sparring. This camp is open to all MAS branches and any students who do sparring. Day three, part two! Getting to read Dante's "Vita Nuova" in his Florence after seeing so many landmarks that played a part in his life truly was the best introduction I could have had. It was also a welcome break in the breakneck pace of this trip while I waited for my dinner reservation. The restaurant was so cool and the food amazing! Fishing Lab alla Murate. If you're ever in Florence, have a meal here! And be sure to check out the frescos on the walls and ceiling of the second floor, a big part of why I picked this restaurant. Finally, a walk back to my hotel while the sun set over the Ponte Vecchio and a shot of the view from my balcony, one I will NEVER get over. Halls Gap to The Pinnacle Loop ⛰️ This moderate hike was a fun one. Wasn’t too challenging, just the steady climb can be unforgiving at times. The hike was 10km and took just over 3 hours. We went counter clockwise up the trail and so happy we did. The views were amazing even though when we were starting we had dark clouds above.
