What a total surprise when I finally became pregnant. My girls may challenge my mothering, sometimes, no a lot but I wouldn’t change anything. Last night after walking 🚶🏾♀️ all day at the outlets and King of Prussia Mall #KOP . We stopped for dinner at UNO’s and Gabi says as we’re leaving “truth is I’m tired 😪” we all bust out laughing 🤣 I meant to take a picture and add the song but I forgot. This morning we woke to @davidandtamela Take Me to the King. I anointed her head 3x’s for the Father, Son & Holy Spirit to cover her because her shin had been giving her some problems and when I anoint her she says it always runs down her head. 🫢 To know how tired 😴 she has been and how hard she truly has worked; and to see it pay off…is a mere testament that you can really do it. I’m seeing it right before our eyes. To go from a 33.00 AA and finish last, at Regionals 23-24…then to clinch🥇 place in Senior 4 at 9.725 on a vault she thought she would never flip amazes me. 🤩😍🤯😱 Let me introduce to some and reintroduce to others our daughter Gabi The Gymnast 🤸🏽♀️Region 7’s Vault Champion for Level 8 - Senior 4. 😭😭 Gabi was able to see her teammate Ella Level 7 rock it out as well. #storytime I was sooo tired 😴 yesterday and didn’t have the energy to post Bama updates. I actually dozed a little after dropping off Gabi to gymnastics. 😩 while we were away I knew that I had hit the Rising Creator badge and when it didn’t post, I just said forget it❣️ I was about to email FB and everything lol 😂 When it showed today I was surprised 😲plus I had already planned to dedicate my post today to Gabi. So, before leaving Tuscaloosa we stopped to get her favorite Waffle House. She said “mom why do you keep taking pictures of me?” I said, “content baby content” 🤣 we stopped to get a University of Alabama pic, Bama merch and stopped to finally take pictures by the river, Gabi hopped in the back and I hit the rode. I started driving to see my cousins church Pastor Carolyn Baker but I was an hour shy of service 🤭. Sorry we missed you hope to see you next time. 🤗 As Gabi slept, I looked for some sights we could see before leaving. I passed The Summit, US Olympic & Paralympics Center, stumbled upon the Freedom Riders historic marker and Kelly Ingram park. With it being Sunday, everything was closed. Saturday morning reflections. Yesterday was windy and we spent most of our day indoors. Luckily there’s plenty to do to keep kids busy on rainy days. When in the tropics you have to be resourceful. Insert family games and karaoke. Time for me to relearn how to play operation. Haven’t played this game since I was a kid. Family time is the best time. If anything Genna is gonna have some fun. #sunday 24 hours ago my daughters and I were in a car accident on I-64 in Chesapeake near exit 296. To see my kids faces of shock, disbelief and fear is something I never want to see again. Their quick intuition amazed me; not to mention my husband being there faster than the speed of lightening. 💨 I am so thankful for God’s hand of protection because we are still here it could have went another way. THANK YOU to everyone who called me at that moment after seeing us on the Highway. To our family, friends, and church for your prayers, calls, texts, dm’s and visits we are so grateful for all of your love and support. 🙏🏽❤️🙌🏽💯 Praying for all of the drivers involved especially the young man whose car caught on fire; he had just purchased it. I am so amazed at the selflessness of our first responders may God continue to bless you. We were supposed to be at the beach from 3-6 but left early. Situations can happen in a blink of an eye. I accepted Jesus into my heart when my parents did around age 10; but had my own experience at 17 before I headed off to college. I fell away and rededicated my life back to Christ while in college. Today after 7 years of competing, my parents were able to finally see Gabi in-person. Its been a long journey and her season is complete as a Level 8 gymnast. Gabi medaled and placed 4th in her age category on the Uneven Bars (UB) for States 🙌🏽 We are so proud of her and will continue to support her in wherever this sport will take her. I am a busy mom…I don’t need to run down a list of what I do on a daily basis because God sees and he knows all. But this one thing I do know for sure is….I LOVE my kids and I will go to ends of the earth 🌍 heaven, the whole universe and back for them. I nursed my last child for almost 2 years and it was a difficult struggle to ween her. Now that we have a bigger home some nights she still doesn’t want to sleep in her bed. She’s on these crying spells and just like the previous G Girl before her, I worried. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. When I was a teenager my mom always said I was conceited lol 😂 what I later learned was that I was confident. Confident in who I was and who I am. My little one picked out her unicorn outfit and when it was time to walk the runway she got stage fright. She cried because all the kids had left her behind. I explained to her that she had her chance and she will get another. Well the second chance came and she blew that too 😩 I’m praying this phase will end soon but please show us parents some grace because this doesn’t feel good at all. But this too shall pass. Now to the woman who could be a stylist to the stars my mama the outfit was a hit. I used to get so upset when my mom dressed me as a teen but as I’ve gotten older she ALWAYS has a hat, skirt, dress, shirt, earrings, shoes etc EVERYTHING and now I don’t say no to anything she has for me. Since I can remember well at least since the girls were 3 and 5. My Father-n-love always wanted to be there when the girls awoke so he would arrive as early as 5 am on Christmas. For the past 2 Christmas’s he hasn’t been able to be with us. On Christmas Eve as I was leaving to make some last minute runs, who did I see 😍 yep he was parked outside. The Wynn’s #Wynning Weekend ✅ Friday Family Day Wakanda Forever ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars in our book. Bravo 👏🏽 ✅ Saturday Gianna’s teams 1st Majorette Competition of the season. The Tantalizing Gems placed 1st place in Walk Thru, Captain/Coaches/Parents Battle, SR Stands and 2nd Place Mini Stands. Genna thought we were saying “GG” but we were saying “TG” Too cute…LOL! Hopefully, Gigi will make the next comp and my phone will not die trying to keep Genna busy 😩 We ended our evening with a family crab boil with our oldest at VCU. She was happy 😃 ✅ Sunday Gabi’s 1st Level 8 Gymnastics Competition. It was so good to see a previous TTT teammate Madelyn Kate. Gabi was in Hot Shots when she first started and didn’t remember her but they both tied on beam. It’s always good to see a familiar face. Gabi’s season ends July 31st always in awe of what she has been able to accomplish. Next meet Myrtle Beach! To say that I’m a busy mom is truly an understatement. I don’t know how we do it sometimes. Tonight, I just fell on my face and just cried out to God, “Thank You!” Sooo thankful for all his many blessings, in spite of it all.
