Hello! Well i’m back after my awful migraine issues! Hopefully they won’t return for a while, but i’m now dreadfully behind in my editing! 😞 hopefully be able to catch up, couple of late nights and working through weekends… Anyway, It seems i’ve some new followers! Not so long ago, well actually thinking about it now, it was in November last year! So probably in everyone else’s perception of time that would be a long long time ago, but in mine that was just yesterday! Anyway I found this wonderful line of trees and all the fallen leaves looked absolutely beautiful so I arranged a photo walk with the lovely @lauren_rebecca_kelly. I thought this particular red gown with its absolutely massive train would look stunning amongst the trees and fallen leaves! This is one of my favourite photos I’ve created so far this year, definitely was not a 10 min edit. There is still one more image from this shoot that I’ve yet to work some photoshop magic on, but will require quite a bit of time, it involves making a prop and then photographing that too…. Anyway, if it snows, and I’m really hoping it will, and if someone is brave enough to wear this dress in the cold we’ll come back here. Don’t worry i’ll bring a hot-water bottle and my ridiculously old huge winter coat from many years ago (talking decades here when I was a size 8 🤣), that kept me warm when temperatures dropped into the negatives! Thank you all for voting on my story! There were so many of you that wanted to see! So here is the lovely @missrosielea wearing a @chotronette dress. This was taken at @far_forest_studio and with the awesome mua that is @barassi_beautique This was taken so long ago I can’t even remember when, but I had wanted to experiment and it was a very cool shoot. So yesterday I decided that i’d try and experiment with an old photo and edit in under 10 mins! Textures used are from @infinitetools. What do you think? Just wanted to say thank you all for your support and encouragement on this platform, i’ve taken photos all my life but whilst i worked in the corporate world I took photos whilst I was travelling generally. In the about me section I touch on the aspects of depression that I experienced when I moved to birmingham and it was really though posting my landscape work on here that made me happy again. As my children grew I wanted to capture them and make imagery for them to keep! Eventually I got into working with models and now into working in the world of bookcover photography for @arcangelimages. Although I don’t post much Just really wanted to thank you all for your likes, comments, shares and saves, and also thanks for putting up with my ramblings! 😜I’ve had the chance to work with some incredible creatives through this! Raven. Something a little different from me to you all, my lovely followers of the gram! I had a visitor the other day, it was definitely a raven (crows are smaller), and I’ve noticed ravens a-lot these last few days. So naturally just felt right to edit this image like this after spending my day editing the book cover backlog for @arcangelimages So during my procrastination time I decided to look up symbolism around ravens and I found that they are supposed to signal rebirth, recovery, renewal, reflection and healing. When the Raven appears magic apparently is imminent and possible. Fingers crossed eh! Anyway, What do you think? Want to see more black and white images? Let me know in the comments.

Fire. I’m a fire sign and I’ve had a fascination with fire for as long as I can remember. I’ve used it in some form or another in lots of my photos, and I’ve seen many others do it too. For me, however, fire is deeply personal. I’m a pyromaniac at heart and watching the flames dance and turn as something burns is soothing. I wish though I had the power like this woman depicted in this photograph to ignite on impulse! To throw fire at anyone that annoys me! She is the fire that burns in us fire signs! Beautiful silence.... I wanted to write something philosophical or poetic but couldn’t really think of anything, so instead i’ll tell you about this image, i had the opportunity to shoot again with @missrosielea and we dodged the hail and sporadic rain during the early parts of the shoot. When I’m creating stock imagery I like to try and get creative at the end and we found this part of the wall in Bridgnorth covered in Ivy, and I wanted to create a fine art image, it was at this point that the heavens completely opened up and the rain was torrential. We ended up just carrying on and shooting in the rain! The @nikonuknordic Z7 is weather sealed and good job too, my older camera I don’t think would have survived! Samurai meets kimono here, Europe’s first major exhibition of this outfit ‘Kimono: Kyoto to Catwalk’ opened at the V&A- London in February 2020, but had to close within two weeks of opening due to lockdown. Exploring the traditional roots of this Japanese garment from 1660’s to its recent reinvention in Japanese street culture, this exhibition delved into the sartorial and social significance of the kimono. “A change is as good as a rest” - this describes a wonderful week. We, Kings Tutors, ran our first ever photography course in London this week for some of our tutees. I couldn’t, therefore, not post this photograph taken by the brilliant Tim Walker. His imagination is an inspiration to us all. This is a photograph of #eglinghamhall near #Alnwick in #Northumberland. It has been so energising to have some meetings for work IN PERSON after a very long time! There are lots of exciting plans and projects on the horizon for Kings Tutors. We have been been able to reflect upon the different ways we have carried out our work to assist so many families over the past year. Consequently we have had some fantastic meetings about how we can continue to adapt our services to help our clients as we strive to return to ‘normal life’. ‘National Treasure’ David Attenborough, with his Giant Elephant Bird egg. These flightless birds, found only on the island of Madagascar, were hunted to extinction. This particular shell, (originally taped together by Attenborough) has been dated at 1,300 years old, so would have belonged to one of the last hatchlings of this group, which included two genera: Aepyornis and Mullerornis, and seven species.
