As a child I loved the flower fairy books, it was an exciting thought to possibly find fairies living amongst the wild flowers. I remember the Daffodil fairy clearly, she was holding a single Daffodil flower by the stalk so it is standing up above her head. Brown hair and translucent wings complete the look 🧚 There are around 50 varieties of Daffodil, the most famous one being the variety with the Yellow Trumpet shaped flower. Kerensa. This is the story of my flower filled journey so far.. My love and interest in flowers began as a young child. I still remember the heady scent of Cornish Gorse, Honeysuckle and English Garden Roses turning my head from a young age. I would spend hours making Rose perfume and twiggy dolls with flowers for dresses. My professional journey with flowers began following my own wedding in 2007. I loved creating my own table arrangements, using flowers from a local farmer and a small private cutting garden in a little village near where I lived. This not only inspired me to continue on my floral journey, but also gave me the courage and confidence to learn the skills needed to make this my career. My journey with Flowers has been interspersed with raising two children, a few years of Hospitality management, retail, styling / merchandising and freelance floristry. Pop -up shops, and collaborations with some amazing local creatives who continually inspire me and have led me here to this collaboration. Our Collaboration has been a long time coming ( yes we talked about it for years , didn’t we Steph ?!) ) in 2022, I bit the bullet, quit my job in Hospitality management and joined forces with the amazing Steph @kokutan to continue on our journey together to grow, sell and offer a sustainable floristry business, here in South Devon .
