Last week I joined lovely Em @emmahewlettfloraldesign for a road trip over the Devon border (!!) up to Bristol last week to attend @flowervisionbristol Spring/Summer Open event flower🌸 It was so lovely to take a trip up to our main South West flower, sundries and plant wholesalers, I haven’t visited for Y E A R S, we’re talking pre Covid times, when Mum and I used to take yearly early morning trips to view the new stock and buy for our flower shop, since then, they’ve made lots of changes to the cash and carry. I saw lots of familiar flowery faces and also met a few new flowery friends who I’ve been cheerleading through Instagram over the past year or so 💃 What a lovely event to attend, with delicious Italian street food, a good wonder around the sundries depo, how wonderful to see lovely Jen @libertylaneflowers beautifully displaying her @gaiavessels - your tablescape was just stunning Jen! 🤩🙌🏻 It reminds me how important it is to regularly mix with like minded flowery folk, and to continue to learn, evolve, and meet people in the industry. The craft section a tidy up and our range of Florist Sundries put together in one place. The new plant stand doubles up as a display stand to show bouquets for sale and finished funeral tributes.
Wonderful willow - symbolising rebirth and also known as the tree of immortality due to its gift of regeneration as if a bough falls onto damp ground, it will likely root. These little hanging baskets are such a quick project and can be used for flower arranging, living plant displays, lanterns or bird feeders. Her varieties are specifically chosen for interest, impact and are all grown naturally, from April to October. We will all continue to operate our own weekly lists, but we will organise the logistics of getting all your flowers to the location that best suits you to collect. I didn’t grow many tulips this year but I’m absolutely loving these Pep Talk tulips with their variegated colouring.
