Es könnte alles so schön sein, so leicht. Könnte. Wenn wir da nicht unsere nette Krankheitswelle aus Deutschland mit nach Tansania gebracht hätten. Nach der ersten Elternzeitreise mach Tansania, hatte ich mich schon gedanklich darauf vorbereitet, dass die Kids sicherlich nicht den gesamten Aufenthalt von Krankheit verschont bleiben würden. Die Reiseapotheke habe ich dafür im Vorfeld üppig bestückt, gerade für Magendarm Geschichten. Kontaktdaten von Ärzten vor Ort waren notiert und die Erreichbarkeit unserer Kinderärztin aus Deutschland ebenfalls abgeklärt. Irgendwie hab ich mich sicher gefühlt. Es leichter genommen. Denn Kinder werden nun mal häufiger krank - egal wo. Nun endlich in Tansania angekommen, wechseln sich die Kids im krank sein ab. Dabei erwischt es ausgerechnet das Baby immer mit sehr hohem Fieber. Der letzte Kontakt mit den Ärzten hier hätte ich ihm gern gespart. Auch, wenn sie ihre Arbeit durchaus gut gemacht haben - abgesehen dass Zugänge legen nicht ihre Stärken sind und mir bei der Medikamentengabe immer wieder was anderes erzählt wurde. Hier fährt man gern nach dem Motto "viel hilft viel". 2x Täglich durften wir kommen. 24 Stunden Service mit kidsbespaßung inklusive in "Pole Pole" Geschwindigkeit (lamgsam). Und nun erneut? Gewissensbisse plagen mich. Wann zum Arzt, wann früher heim, haben wir nicht aufgepasst? Sometimes it’s the right thing, but just the wrong timing 🕕 This time last month I was beach hopping with my family in our caravan, heading North with no return date We were living the dream Waking up in a new destination, all day and no where to be, endless possibilities 🌏 We thought this was what we wanted We thought we were ready Turns out it is but we weren’t.. So as most of you know, the virus has taken hold once again pretty hard and there are many cancellations for flights and travel pretty much is at a stand still once again. I’ve decided that I’m not booking any travel of any kind until after June If things start to slow down with the virus. Im taking time off for the time being to focus on other things and let this virus slow down and numbers go down. I can still book tickets for anyone wanting local tickets to shows or games but nothing with flights or cruises. Right now my website is down as well for now too but I am going to finish it in the meantime and it’ll be back up and running after June of 2022. If you need any tickets to any local games or shows please let me know I’m willing to get those just nothing else. I do hope this virus goes away but as of right now I don’t think it will let us travel until after June or so. In 2015, we went on a Western Caribbean cruise and we learned a lot about the Mayan culture with stops in both Cozumel and Belize. We visited Altun Ha Mayan ruins in Belize, but decided not to visit any ruins while in Cozumel at the time. Although we did see some great replicas in Cozumel, my only regret is not visiting Chichen Itza ruins during our stop in Cozumel. Have you been to Chichen Itza? If so, how was your experience?

🇮🇹🇳🇱 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘰𝘢𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘳𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 ♡ ¤ The past week has been filled with ups and downs. Although the surgery was planned and was successful. The huge blood loss, low blood pressure and the complexity of the surgery made it took twice as long and because I was unstable I had to spend a day in the ICU. And then the 11 kilos that I gained in 5 days because of oedeem.. ¤ A week later, I can walk a few meters with a walking frame. But I still can't use and feel my left foot. My orthopaedic surgeon told me that they extended the leg back to the same length which created stress on the nerves that are responsible for the working of the left foot. They had to do this because the last new hip that I had was wrongly placed too deep and gave me a leg length difference of 1,5 cm. ¤ I am happy that in the future I will be able the make movements again that I couldn't for the past 7 years. And I am happy that I will not feel such extreme pain daily anymore. ¤ But I am scared for my foot. I know the nerve needs to recover naturally and with therapy. But sometimes it is hard to take in that it never goes smooth with me when it comes to my medical situation. ¤ A dear friend has sent me this message: You don't have to be positive all the time. It's perfectly okay to feel sad, angry, annoyed, frustrated, scared or anxious. Having feelings doesn't make you a "negative person". It makes you human. ¤ I am so lucky that have amazing friends and family that support me. Without them, it would be much harder. ¤ Shout out to all of you who are sending me positive vibes and love. Have you used a stair lift?What I find interesting is when travelling through Amalfi coast Italy and the use of Stairlifts for Air bnbs at the top of the hill!If you’ve been to the Amalfi or have seen photos of it,It has such dramatic mountains surrounding it and this can be a struggle commuting to towns and back.Stair lifts was such a life saver for us when we were there. #traveltheworldjuly

This is Bethany Reserve in the village of Bethany in Barossa. It was the First biggest German settlement in the Barossa! It is a beautiful small village located south east of Tanunda. It was originally named Bethanian or Neu Schlesien but this was actually renamed during First World War due to an attempt to remove all places named in German.
