For YEARS my root chakra was blocked, inactive and almost always closed. Every sign from source, every tarot/oracle reading would always remind me of this. When Mercury went retrograde at the beginning of April, a lot of my deep rooted stored trauma and suppressed feelings came to the surface. I knew if I was gonna make any type of positive impact on my mental/spiritual health, as well as my chakras, I had to do the shadow work. I spent the whole month pretty much in seclusion (obviously I still ran daily errands and went to work) but other than daily adult life, I spent a lot of time alone. A good portion of this time was spent in my head. Sorting out and letting go of all the things that no longer benefit or serve my life (This was the hardest part about the work I think) and I strictly focused on myself for a change. I’m very very proud to say after this month of soul searching, healing and realigning my chakras with particular focus on the root, I’ve been feeling and seeing the benefits of this. I feel much more aligned, in control of certain aspects and steady on the path to being better than I was yesterday. Healing and shadow work is probably one of the hardest things to do. You completely expose your toxic traits and tendencies. You bring them to light so you can work through it. You forgive yourself. Once you forgive, you can begin to move on and reframe your mindset and future for bigger and better things. It’s my birthday week!🥳 I haven’t met my 2024 aesthetic goals yet and it weighs on me some days (pun intended😅). Hard to believe the year is almost halfway gone! A few more wrinkles and a bit more gray hair but I’m entering 52 with a smile. Counting my blessings and eagerly anticipating what’s around the corner🙂 My body has been cray-cray lately with all the hormone changes🎢I know this is just one chapter but it sure is frustrating to have very little control over what is happening to me. As a Taurus this doesn’t sit well♉️ I’ve dialed in my nutrition to eliminate processed foods and added sugars. May’s challenge will be to stick to my nutrition and to actually complete my morning workout🥴 My current fights: 🥊Fatigue 🥊Hunger 🥊Hot flashes 🥊Joint pain 🥊Muscle pain 🥊Lack of sleep All of these things have been slowly happening over the past few years but I’ve been able to ignore them👀My body is now screaming at me for help so I’m doing what I can🫶🏻 Food is medicine so starting with basics. Then movement to help with cortisol levels. Some days I’m all in and other days I give in. But I never give UP❤️
