5 years.... As I reflected on my sobriety today, I thought about how f #ucked up it is that society makes me feel like something is wrong with me because I don't drink. Quitting drinking is the best thing I have ever done for myself. It led me back to my true self. Since quitting drinking, I have done some incredible things, things that wouldn't have been possible if I continued on the path I was on. Is it always easy? No, some days can be really hard. But is it worth it? YES a thousand times YES. People sometimes ask me why I quit drinking, and there are a lot of reasons. You don't need to hear the all shitty things I did when I was drinking, and all the shitty things that were done to me while I was drinking. And news alert you don't need a reason to quit drinking! One thing that I have learned through sobriety is that there isn't a single person on this earth that I like more when they are drinking... including myself. I will continue to choose sobriety and live my life in full color. Life is beautiful, and every day is a gift. ✌️
