I’ve been aware I’ve been feeling pretty stressed and over whelmed over the last few months.. work, studies, juggling 2 teens, and consciously holding it together and pushing through. None of which is healthy. I could tell my body was tired .. I’d been holding on for this amazing opportunity of going to Norway. Space, big space, the perfect place to reset. . Beyond breathtaking. Last night Mama almost faced some wrath. Consuela is in heat & at 2 am she decided she would like some attention from Rafa. She let us all know by barking the mist hideous bark over and over and over at him. ( they are being separated currently). All I had to do was go out there and give her what I assume was the scariest look of life. She went back to sleep sheepishly, and then started up again bright and early. 29/04/2024 ~ I really didn't want to get up this morning as I was just so tired. I tried to go back to sleep after taking A for his first wee, but I kept dreaming about my nanny, and it was really distressing, so I just laid there watching tv and stroking A. I had to get the little man out early as I had an appointment with the hygienist. I was in and out quicker than I had expected, which was nice. A was so excited to see me when I got home. We had snuggles and watched last night's mafsau before I headed off to therapy. Once a month they do a meeting where we talk about the groups and how things are going etc which is great but it was long. I was so glad to get back home, and A was glad to have me home, too. We waited for the school kids to go, and then we headed out into the sunshine. It's been such a lovely day again, i wish it could stay like this, but no, we are due more rain. I'm going to have a really chilled afternoon tomorrow, I think, as I feel completely exhausted. Yesterday was such a long and busy day, and it does take it out of me. Secrets are easy to spot - these are cutouts by my late father, selected by design and and arranged be me with my letters superimposed. Thousands were collected during the 1980s-2000s and kept in storage until recently. He was a fan of @pacificobeer and always saved his labels so I incorporate a small snippet in many of these pieces. I love me in this mode. I love nature, love foraging for bones, love cleaning bones and looking at how all the bits connect, I love going slow and being outside. I love gardening and am obsessed with creating a flower full native garden. I don't always get to be in this mode because boring work, but also because endometriosis. I spent the last 4 days in bed and still on day 5 feel weak, heavy, and dumb (and had to go to work and it took me about 5 attempts to make a 2 sided photocopy). I've managed it for 7ish years, since I was diagnosed in my mid 30s (way too late). But that diagnosis changed my life until recently. What worked for me seems to not work anymore. It's disappointing and exhausting. And I think it's important to say because a lot of people with uteruses are going through things and it's down played or were conditioned to brush it off. Or you're not allowed to talk about it at work and you have to be some other kind of sick or whatever. It's dumb, I'm tired and I silently hear you if you're also going through it. #endometriosis #exhausted #bones #nature #nativeflowers
