Spring is here! And life was busy and felt good, but also somehow very emotional from exciting, tiring, heavy to deep, happy & sad #allthefeels. . . V was back stateside for a couple weeks and it made me miss our life and friends over there more than I expected. It made me sad and portland home sick to wake up to texts saying “xy says hi, they miss you” but also so happy & grateful for our amazing community we have build there. Can’t wait for the day I get to see a few of our besties again. . . Besides the fact that solo parenting is always exhausting the girls & I also caught a stomach bug #grannytotherescue, my legs don’t really want me to run too long these says and we also added lots of special dates to the calendar like flea markets, sport club meetings, spring & easter events and all kinds of school stuff, but it was all good & fun & made us definitely overdue for a nice long spring break! . . . One year ago, we committed to Mae’s adoption and we picked her up in Lewistown, MT from a rescue after she was transported via a Texas rescue that pulled her from an overcrowded kill shelter.
