LivToMunch Summer Munchin: Breakfast on the Go Edition: . . . Gooooood morning my loyal LivToMunch followers ! One of my favorite things about summer is it’s seasonal foods, like stone fruits ! Peaches and nectarines are my absolute favorite. I’ve also been obsessed with overnight oats because they’re so easy to make, eat on the go, nutritious, AND delicious! In the spirit of summer and its seasonal fruits being here, I decided to make blueberry peach cobbler overnight oats for my breakfast this week! They were a great way to start my day, packed with fiber, protein, and vitamins! The sweetness is just a bonus and all natural! If you need a little morning pick-me-up, try this recipe out! . . . Ingredients: - 1/2 cup oats - 1/2 cup almond milk - 1/4 cup blueberries - 1/4 cup chopped fresh peaches - 1/4 cup SUGAR FREE greek yogurt (I used Kite Hill Dairy Free no sugar added) - 1 tbsp raw honey - 1 tbsp flax/hemp/chia seeds - 1 tsp cinnamon . . . Le 1er mai. Bon pas de chance, cette année, le premier mai est tombé un dimanche.   Jour de manifestation ouvrière et acquis social précieux (la journée de 8h), aujourd’hui, le 1er mai est aussi l’occasion de parler du travail.   Le travail, mon sujet quotidien, puisque je travaille sur le travail. Ou plutôt comment mieux travailler, réfléchir aux leviers pour promouvoir un travail de qualité et respectueux des personnes, imaginer le travail de demain… Au bureau aussi, on mange. Souvent, j’ai remarqué que la manière dont on considère la pause repas reflète la relation que l’on entretient avec le travail.    Je regarde toujours ce que mangent mes collègues, et ce depuis le début de ma carrière professionnelle. Par curiosité bien sûr, mais aussi pour mieux apprendre à les connaître : il y a ceux qui ne mangent pas ou très peu (« je suis sous l’eau »), ceux qui préfèrent déjeuner au resto tous les midis, ceux qui n’achètent que des salades sodebo ou des pasta box (« je n’aime pas cuisiner »), ceux qui font attention, les apprentis Top Chef, les mangeurs de sandwich, les pauses devant l’ordi en buvant une boisson protéinée (rare phénomène mais j’en ai connu au moins deux) , les becs sucrés, les déjeuners obligatoires à la cantine, le triangle avalé dans sa voiture entre deux rendez-vous, les organisés avec leur super bento et mini glacière, les sportifs (« jogging de 12h à 12h45 puis sandwich devant l’ordi »)… Une vraie enquête ethnologique.   Un moment informel, où beaucoup de choses se jouent, de manière consciente ou non.   Evidemment, je suis de la team, je prends au moins 1h voire 1h30 de pause pour savourer mon repas. Je ne sais pas si c’est une question de choix, j’ai toujours fait ça, même sous pression, avec des chefs qui ne mangeaient pas, c’est presque vital pour moi de pouvoir apprécier ce moment.   Et vous, comment mangez-vous à votre pause déjeuner ?   Je vous partage une petite recette rapide et permettant de manger quelque chose de bon dans votre tupperware du midi : des ailes de poulet marinés. Just in time for #worldhealthday and packed with flavour is this Orange Ginger Tofu and Pak Choy is sure to do the trick. Thanks to @goodchefbadchetv Serves: 2 Time: 25 minutes Ingredients 1 block firm tofu, cubed 1 tbsp cornstarch, divided 4 tbsp extra virgin olive oil 1 tbsp sesame oil 1 tbsp fresh ginger, thinly sliced 2 garlic cloves, thinly sliced 1 red chilli, thinly sliced 1 bunch pak choy, sliced 3 tbsp tamari sauce 2 tbsp fresh orange juice 1 tbsp coconut sugar To Serve 1 tbsp sesame seeds 1 tbsp dried shallots Method Dry the tofu between paper towels, then place on a plate with the cornstarch gently mix to coat. Heat half the olive oil in a large frypan then add the tofu and fry until crispy and golden. Set aside to drain on paper towel. Heat a large wok with remaining olive oil and the sesame oil. Add ginger, garlic and chilli and fry for one minute. Add pak choy and cook for a further 5 minutes or so until wilted. Add tamari, orange juice and coconut sugar, along with the fried tofu and toss to coat.
