Let’s get ready to BAGELLLLL!!!! 🥯 Welcome to @siegelsbagelmania — a heavenly, bagel and matzah ball filled oasis in the middle of Vegas! My mom and I went on the last day of our trip and let’s just say we left no bagel uncovered (or uneaten)! 🥯 We got a wide variety of foods straight out of my childhood — chocolate egg creams, a bagel and schmear plate with whitefish and nova salmon, matzah ball soup, a plate of pickles, assorted rugelach, and split pea soup that tasted EXACTLY like my Bubby used to make. Everything was utterly delicious — we gobbled up every bite! 🥯 Plus, there are so many fun photo-worthy moments to uncover. Known as the best tacos in San Diego, we had to check out Tacos El Gordo to see what all the hype was about 🤪 Tacos El Gordo had their own system where you lined up based on your protein choice. We weren’t used to the system at first, but once it clicked, it provided smooth and efficient service 👍🏽 We munched on… 🌮 Adobada (spiced pork) 🌮 Chorizo (beef and pork) 🥤Horchata Mediana Charles says this was his fave taco place in San Diego (or Vegas ☀️, in this case!) And we can see why it’s considered the best tacos on the West coast. Tacos El Gordo creates authentic Tijuana style tacos, making handmade corn tortillas 🌕 topped with meats 🥩, fresh ingredients and house-made salsa 💃🏽 and guacamole 🥑 The tacos were reasonably priced (around $3 USD) and bursted with spices in every bite 😛 It’s hard not to buy more in one sitting (we revisited 2-3 times after our first outing hehe 🙊) While we’re already thinking about sampling their other tacos, classics like chorizo and adobada are hard to pass. This fabulous cozy little place is the very definition of hidden gem. Do yourself a favor and try this place out as soon as you can. $$ The Broken Yolk Cafe was the best breakfast spot we could have gone to on our way out of Vegas. This is a high energy restaurant with a fun, positive, happy vibe. Think of a modern, updated, and elevated Denny's. I mean this as a total compliment! You've had a late night, are getting up to leave town, and you just want a really good, comforting breakfast... you should go to the Broken Yolk Cafe! They also have a lot of fun options if you're wanting to try something new, or on the healthier side, or Mexican inspired, etc. Something for everyone! I ordered Betty’s Southern Biscuit & Gravy, a homemade buttermilk biscuit smothered with country gravy and topped with sausage patties. Now, I LOVE Biscuits & Gravy, so I've tried them at a lot of different places, and these are VERY good! Sometimes the biscuits are too big for the amount of gravy given and they end up seeming dry, but this is NOT the case here. The biscuits are large and filling, and there is NO skimping on the gravy! If I had a complaint the only one would be that the hash browns were soft, Kevin's texture and flavor. But overall, 5/5. I loved my meal and the iced oatmilk matcha latte. $$ Toro Sushi in Henderson NV was where I spent New Year's Eve and I was not disappointed. The restaurant is a small galley style place and the service was very prompt and friendly. We ordered the Spicy Garlic Edamame (picture 1) and Calamari Tempura (picture 2) as starters. I was pleasantly surprised at the large portion of Edamame, the spice level was just right and the garlic added some great flavor. I really enjoyed the Calamari Tempura. I was expecting just regular Italian style Calamari (I don't know why when I was at a Japanese restaurant) but it was large strips of Calamari battered and fried in a delightfully light and crisp tempura batter. The other big surprise was how wonderful the "New Style Sashimi" was (picture 3)! We ordered the White Tuna Paradise which is White Tuna with Crab & Ginger Dressing. The tuna was light and non fishy tasting, filled with crab, and topped with a dressing that adds a refreshing acidity. You MUST order the White Tuna Paradise! The other items we ordered were mostly rolls; O.M.G. (picture 4: shrimp tempura, cucumber, & crab topped with tuna, salmon, yellowtail, crunch with yum yum sauce), Jesty Salmon (picture 7: fresh salmon, masago, wrapped w/ soy paper, topped with fresh salmon, lemon), Dynamite (picture 6: california roll topped with scallop w/ yum yum, eel sauce & baked), Sunset Roll (picture 5: spicy crab, cucumber topped with seared tuna & spicy garlic ponzu). Happy New Year! 🎆 O here checking in with all the good eats from the Las Vegas Strip. I visited for the first time to see @adele live on NYE! What an experience Vegas is 🤯 Anyway TONS of good eats to choose from and without much pre-planning we hit up a couple of really cool spots! First up was @blacktaplv for their anniversary truffle burger & fries special plus this PHENOMENAL CakeShake milkshake from their craft shake bar. The meal itself was fine, not overly special but did include a fantastic (!) glass of champagne with it. But the real star was this milkshake for sure. Definitely will head to the NYC location to check out others next time I’m there. Next up was the amazing bakes from @districtdonuts and not shown honey lavender oatmilk latte. Y’all these guys are the real deal! I had the lemon blueberry donut and cinnamon roll. Hands down this is a must try. The flavor, the lightness of the dough, honestly would have at least once a week if I could. I’m going to keep them on my Vegas must do’s for the foreseeable future. I’m already thinking of when I can get another taste of these sweets this year… For lunch I stopped by @hattiebs and had the hot chicken tenders with greens and fries. This chicken was excellent. Super juicy and tender while the spice was ON POINT. Definitely would go for the chicken sandwich next time to experience a different section of the bird, but if you’re looking for a great chicken place, hit them up! The last pictures are from NYD brunch at @yardbirdrestaurants 🤩 Holy smokes did this place blow me away. This southern style comfort food place NAILED IT with each bite. Pictured is the crab and Kentucky ham eggs Benedict, the chicken biscuits and gravy, the savory chive and bacon cornbread and to finish it up the fried oreos. Everything, everything about this meal was fantastic. The hospitality from Jaci was amazing and I would go to this restaurant every time I head to Vegas from now on. This photo embodies the joy of triggering what I like to call a "smellory". A smellory is essentially where a smell triggers a memory. Here I am recalling the deliciousness of my childhood when my dad would take me and my brother to different pizzerias like pizza and pipes or Little Caesars or toto's or Luigi's and before you even step into the pizzeria. Your olfactory organs are bombarded with the fragrance of oregano, basil, tomatoes, and mozzarella! In the @cosmopolitan_lv tucked away in a crevice you will find what their receipt simply states as The Pizzeria. Thanks to my buddy Allie, I was ableto find this somewhat hidden spot. What gave it away was that the restaurant next to it was closed but there was a line of people leading down a hallway and so being the curious person I am I stood and watched and saw people coming out with giant slices of pizza! Tiger Sugar has always been a fav of ours when it comes to Black Sugar drinks as that’s what they’re famous for! . 📌It’s great that they offer both types of tapioca for their drinks: ⚫️Pearls (mini) and ⚫️Boba (regular size). . 🌟WHAT WE TRIED 🍫Black Sugar Boba + Pearl + Chocolate Malt Milk w/Cream Mousse Our new fav from Tiger Sugar. Love the Chocolate Malt Milk which gave the drink such a creamy chocolatey flavor. We like that their pearls and boba are very soft. It’s definitely a sweet drink but we enjoyed it since we love chocolate. . 🧋Black Sugar Boba Green Tea Latte w/Cream Mousse For those that prefer more of a refreshing take on their classic Black Sugar Boba that is with fresh milk, the green tea latte version is essentially the same drink but with hints of tea flavor. We personally like their classic milk option better since it’s creamier. . 💛Golden Oolong Tea with Cheese Mousse If you don’t enjoy pearls, this is a great alternative to try out. We love that their golden oolong flavor shines through, and the Cheese mousse on top was salty and creamy. It blends so well with the tea. . 🍿Black Sugar Popcorn We typically prefer savoury popcorn over sweet but we were surprised that their black sugar popcorn was quite good. The popcorn has a great crunch to it and had a buttery caramel flavor. This was the perfect treat while we binged watched movies in our hotel 😂. ❗️PRO TIP: Their drinks are definitely sweet so make sure to customize sweetness levels if you can’t handle super sweet drinks. Make sure to shake the drink 15 times so the tiger stripes are fully blended for the best flavor! 💭TLDR; Perfect spot on the Vegas Strip to satisfy your boba cravings.
