The greens in the gardens are here at last! Cold grow greens on our farm are being harvested regularly and are for sale at the store. Fresh, crisp, bright and clean ~ Encore lettuce is a beautiful mix of color and textured leaves. The mix is comprised of; Green Oakleaf, Red Oakleaf, Lollo Rossa, Redleaf, Green Romaine, Red Romaine, and Bibb lettuces. Giant Red Mustard is a large, leafy vegetable which may reach up to 35” in height. The leaf color is striking and the rich red- purple, deeply textured leaves are contrasted by the bright green of the central vein. The leaves are tender and succulent, while the stems are crunchy. Greens are loaded with Vitamins A, K, C, calcium, phosphorous, magnesium, and potassium. A wedding in Maine in December: the weather we didn’t expect, but the weather this couple more than deserved ✨ B + D did their first look down the road at Nubble Lighthouse, where they also read private vows to one another. They also had their families witness the first look from afar, making it even more of a momentous event! We then did family portraits following their first look, meaning we wouldn’t have to worry about fitting them into the timeline later! 🫶🏽 This setup worked really well since both were wayyyy more excited to party with everyone after their ceremony, versus having to stick around and do family portraits. We had their families be ready a little earlier than planned so that they could make it to the first look spot in time! Small details like this can help your timeline flow more accordingly to your ideal day! ⚡️ Some would rather spend more time getting tons of family portraits, while others would rather condense it as much as possible so that they have more time for other events. As many times as I’ve gone up to Maine this was the first time stopping @nubblelighthouse 5/1/24 It was an overcast day but nonetheless beautiful. Still basking in the peaceful afterglow of our Coastal Spring Awakening Guided Forest Bathing Session @york_land_trust Lafcadio’s Woods Preserve this afternoon. Our group spent 2 relaxing hours exploring our own special neck of the woods through all our senses. Tiny signs of Spring, Tree Heartbeats, and a pleasurable Sit Spot in a rare 70 degree sunny early May day in Maine. We ended our sensory journey with a Pine Needle tea and forest inspired goodies sharing circle.
