We got the squid, the tea eggs, the chongqing noodles, asparagus, orange chicken, and black sesame toast! Overall food was good but nothing really stood out. My favourite was the asparagus a little tangy and very tender. The orange chicken was a little bland but the fresh oranges are quite a nice touch. The tea eggs were good as eggs but not as fragrant as tea eggs should be. Squid was also good but nothing special. The toast was a great balance of sweet and savoury. It is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside with the sesame paste and condensed milk making a gooey spoonful of deliciousness. Be prepared to share, one toast per person can be a little overwhelming. BADIALI - Toronto 📍 Badiali is the notorious pizza joint just west of downtown Toronto. I've been twice, once to pick up a pre-ordered pie and one time I waited for an hour in line to grab their freshly made slices. Oddly enough, the slices tasted better overall than the pie or maybe I was just hungry 😅 I will say what impressed me the most was how well cooked and tasty the dough was and how high quality the ingredients tasted (more in the slices than the pie!) ⭐️ Mushroom Bianco 🌟 Pepperoni Slice Rating: 8.6/10 Not pictured here, but I also tried the Margherita and Burrata Marinara. Michelin recommended Southern Thai spot @kohlipeto 🇹🇭 They definitely have some unique dishes that we were able to try out: - Goong Moun: Crispy skin tofu with shrimp & veggies🦐🌶️ - Prik Pai Talay: Stir-fried chilli platter with shrimp, mussel, squid, and clams🐙🦐 - Guey Tiew Khaek: Islamic noodles & red curry🥘 - Pad See Ew: Flat rice noodle with soy sauce and veggies🤎 Overall everything is VERY flavourful which I liked but having a side of rice definitely gave it a good balance. Especially the crispy tofu skin was good but a bit salty imo. Really liked the seafood stirfry and good portions all around!
