Throwback to a previous girls night after claw & kitty 🤣 we all never tried this place before and heard the portions were giant.. they were right so we just got two plates to share. It was really busy there since it’s a smaller sized place. It’s been so long so I don’t remember what we got but it looks like original and curry. I thought overall this place was okay, asides from the portion the the katsu itself didn’t stand out to me.
Have y’all heard of perfect meat bowl before? This resto replaced lion city in the b trust plaza. Build your own hot pot style foods where you can customize your soup spice etc. Many things to pick from when building your bowl and you pay by weight. Another restaurant that we visited in the Bloor and Christie area is Imonay Korean Restaurant. This is a mom and pop operation that serves Korean comfort food. The Patty Quest continues… Phamilyeats started off as a side gig by Peter Pham during the Covid lockdown in 2021. Pham gained notoriety for his Jamaican patties and pot pies. They now have a physical location in the East York Eats location. It’s a shared space with other eateries. We ordered their Spicy Beef, Curry Chicken and Vegan patties. The spicy beef patties are really solid. The crust was flaky. The meat was nicely seasoned with the right amount of gravy. The ratio of crust to filling was good. It definitely had a kick which is essential. They do offer mild beef patties. The other pattie that I enjoyed was the Vegan. The filling had the right consistency although it seemed sweeter. The curry chicken patty was underwhelming. I’ll definitely will be back to try their pot pies.
