SAVE and TRY this one‼ Great dumbbell shoulder press variation right here❗ L-Sit Dumbbell Shoulder Press👨🏾‍🎓👨🏾‍🏫 . The standard dumbbell shoulder press depending on the grips, angles, and variations of the shoulder press used, certain aspects of the anterior, posterior, and overall shoulder region can be highlighted. By simply altering this to the L-sit variation it teaches the abdominal and lower-back muscles to play nicely together, whilst also developing strength and stability in the shoulders. The Standing Overhead Press(OHP) is one of, if not my favourite compound movement. . Swipe ⬅️ to see a PB 😁 After many agonising shoulder sessions and repeated failure. I finally got the 60kg OHP for 4 reps which I suprised myself with as previous attempts the bar wouldn't even shift 😅 . Though the bench press is the compound movement mostly seen as the main exercise to measure a persons upper body strength and power. TRUE pressing power should be measured in how much you can press overhead. If you can press the same amount you can bench press or more, you must be Superman in disguise 🤷🏾‍♂️ . OHP is an amazing exercise which targets more muscles than you probably think. Most of the work is done by the front and side delts, then the rear delts, upper pectoral muscles, triceps and traps. Lower back muscles and abdominal muscles are also included in the movement as they help in stabilization. . If you are new to the overhead press, you should start with the seated dumbbell shoulder press. Using an upright bench will provide stability during the movement to stop you overarching your lower back and allow you to concentrate on keeping tension through your shoulders when pressing the weight. S U P E R ⚫ S E T Been supersetting 'rack pulls' with either dumbbell/plate shrugs till failure to get more emphasis on the traps.
