Just as I was getting ready to wrap it up the clouds broke and the sun came through the branches and the whole scene changed very quickly. Hi, my name is Rylee, and I’m 10 years old. I LOVE plants!🪴 My business is called Sprouts to represent new growth. Most all of the plants I have are baby succulents that have just started to grow roots. I was inspired by a women named Mikey who also loved her plants and she had always had a dream about having her own plant business. She has a sister named Joanna Gaines who knows a lot about running a business while having a family. Mr. Schidel and his wife visited the ELC this week to check on progress at the construction site. Thomas R. Schidel is a retired engineer and inventor. During his career he traveled the world and enjoyed hiking and exploring the outdoors. His desire for more people to experience the beauty of nature led him to pledge $1M for the design, construction and maintenance of the Thomas R. Schidel Education and Event Pavilion. The facility enables new programs and incorporates environmentally friendly features consistent with the ELC’s mission. The pavilion sits on the west side of a large turf area known as the Oval. This space is surrounded by native plants and will serve as an area for guests to sit while they enjoy lectures, musical performances, and other educational programs.

My name is Alison and I am 13 years old. I enjoy making crafts and started making my own cards to give with gifts. It turned into a business idea when my siblings and family wanted me to make cards for them to use. I enjoy designing the cards and putting them together, and I especially liked making Christmas cards! In the future, I would like to have an online shop where people can order custom and pre-made designed cards.
