Yesterday evening we had quite the sunset. I sadly was in a car during the time that I was able to see it, but I did my best to capture the glory that was there. There is a phrase that we often use, “a photo doesn't do it justice”, and no matter how much editing that people do to photos to make them impressive or artistic, often they don't take our breath away, but seeing an incredible vista or a stunning sunset does. A photo is only a shadow of reality. In the same way the glory and beauty that we see in the world around us is barely even a reflection of the glory and beauty of the one who made it all. Imagine the moment when we step into heaven and we no longer are seeing the meager reflection of glory but the glorious one Himself: if this world can take our breath away, what will our reaction be to when we finally behold true glory and beauty? It has been one hell of ride the past few weeks. Gallbladder surgery, recovery is no joke on its own. To have pneumonia on top was just the icing on the big ol piece of crap cake let me tell you. Being even at 60% I have honestly nothing to complain about. I always stop & realize there ppl in far worse situations in life. Hell fire as I'm typing this I looked over & a young man is having a seizure. I called 911 & talked to him till they got here. Just glad I was sitting here today & able to assist this young man 🙏 One thing I know, if there is ever a need no matter the situation I will rise up! Read Revelation 4 “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come.” ~Revelation 4:8 Lord, I pray that you would give me the eyes to see your “holy, holy, holiness” and the confidence not to look away!” I’m sure the number of wings and the eyes of Revelation 4 are symbolic in some way, but it’s the old school worship that catches my attention. From the beginning, he was holy. In the present, he is holy. In the future, he will forever remain holy. He is “holy, holy, holy,” and now with Jesus we can stand confidently before the throne of grace and live life fully in the “holy, holy, holiness” of the one Triune God! Whether he’s rolling up his sleeves in delight as he creates the universe or presently delighting over us with a song he’s created just for us, his “holy, holy, holy” character is consistent, and it’s worthy of our trust.
