It is a ramen salad shaken in a cup with fresh vegetables, grilled chicken, and dashi broth with chili oil and yuzu (New for 2024) — $8.50. Frushi, anyone?? This is probably the only "sushi" I will ever eat! 🤣 I heard rave reviews about this treat, available at the Hanami Booth by the Japan Pavilion at Epcot's Flower & Garden Festival. This was pretty. Pineapple, strawberries, and lychee wrapped in coconut rice and a pink soy wrap, with raspberry sauce, coconut, and a dollop of whipped cream on the side. All the parts of this were delicious...it was just a bit odd all together. Not too sweet, either. The nice thing about this choice was that it could easily be shared with multiple people. I wanted to love this, but the best I could do was a nod. 6/10. ⬅👆 🐭🪩 Sabrina wanted to have the Akoya Pearls experience with Veronica and Sabrina's daughter, Faith. So in the Mitsukoshi department store in EPCOT's Japan pavilion, we headed to the counter, they picked out their oysters, got hyped up with the drumming, watched the employee shuck the pearls from the oysters and measure them, then picked out necklaces to hold the pearls. The dogs were so good with the drumming and chanting, and everyone but the oysters had a good time! "Disabled friends in Disney" series, set 72 of 99. Series content: Three days with a group of ten in Walt Disney World, with five service dogs and five power wheelchairs among us. In various sub-groups, we first spent time in Disney Springs, then Magic Kingdom, then EPCOT. We mostly just had a good time together in the various settings, enjoying the more relaxed attractions along the way. Settings: On Friday, Disney Springs shopping, dining, and entertainment district, then hanging out at night at the Pop Century resort where most of us stayed. On Saturday, Magic Kingdom, starting with Adventureland and hardly spending any time on Main Street. On Sunday, EPCOT, focusing on the Journey of Water, Living with the Land, and the countries in the World Showcase. December 3–5, 2023. Epcot always fills my cup. 💗 My daughter and I love exploring all the hidden corners (& not so hidden corners) of the World Showcase. Last week we popped into the park for just a while & decided to take a slow stroll through all of the countries and do some pin trading. Along the way we got to do some shopping & listen to the drummers in Japan too. They’re so amazingly talented! Afterwards we headed to the Seas with Nemo and Friends and spent some time enjoying all of the beautiful ocean creatures that call the Seas home. 🐠 I was so excited to wear my new Stitch tank to the park for our little pop in, because I made it myself! I’ve been working on sewing some dresses for my daughter, and took a little break to sew a quick tank for myself too. I’ll share more of my projects I’m working on hopefully in the near future. ☺️ I’m little behind on sharing photos after the antique mall Disney finds mini series, but hopefully I’ll catch up soon.

Yuko Mohri has been representing Japan at the 60th International Art Exhibition @labiennale and for the first time this year, a non-Japanese national – South Korean curator Sook-Kyung Lee – senior curator of international art at the Tate Modern, has been invited to oversee the Japanese pavilion. The exhibition explores environmental themes and the relationship between creativity and crisis, presenting an immersive poetry of tangible connection between sound, movement, objects and water. Artist used the kinetic objects that produce sound to incorporate melody and noise into the environment of the installation. My final night in Epcot and the parks I was able to snag a last minute dinner reservation at Shiki-Sai in the Japan pavilion. We started with a sake flight and grilled wagyu gyoza for our appetizer. Our entree was the Hashi Bridge that featured an assortment of sushi and sashimi and was legitimately the best sushi I have ever had to date. If you are in Epcot this spot definitely fulfills any sushi cravings in a relaxed and beautiful atmosphere. I’m so sad this is my last meal post but don’t fret! In Venice, known as ‘the city of water’, Yuko Mohri collaborates with the Korean curator Sook-Kyung Lee, using the concept ‘soft and weak like water’ to contemplate and interpret the impact and relationship of water on people, the city and the surroundings to bring the exhibition COMPOSE. For Compose at the Japan Pavilion of this year’s Venice Biennale, Mohri presents a critical commentary on environmental issues. Yuko Mohri utilized the entire pavilion as her own studio for a few months prior to its public opening. 藝術家 毛利悠子 於威尼斯雙年展代表日本展出！ Artist Yuko Mohri is representing Japan at the Venice Biennale . 毛利悠子以他一貫的創作主軸，使用就地的、日常可見的物品，已組建裝置藝術的形式反映著環境中的現象以及變化。 . 威尼斯這座國際的水之都市，藝術家與韓國策展人Sook-Kyung Lee一同以“柔弱似水”的概念，思考詮釋水之於人跟城市與環境的影響與關係。各種的水的面向匯集成今次的展覽“COMPOSE”。 在日本館(Japan Pavilion)這個場域，毛利悠子將其視作自己的工作室，從威尼斯當地搜集來材料，舉凡市集、路邊、店舖或是雜貨小店。藝術家延續了自己的創作系列 ‘Decomposition’ 和 ‘Moré Moré (Leaky)’ ，製作出屬於威尼斯這個地方的嶄新樣貌，宛如一期一會，呈現在這一次的威尼斯雙年展。 . Yuko Mori, as her consistent creative notion, uses local, daily objects to build up an installation art form, reflecting the phenomena and changes in the environment. . In Venice, known as “the city on Water”, Yuko Mori collaborates with Korean curator Sook-Kyung Lee, used the concept “soft and weak like water“ to contemplate about and interpret the impact and relationship of water on people, the city, and the surrounding. Bring to the visitor the exhibition “COMPOSE”. . In the Japan Pavilion, Yuko Mohri used it as her own studio, she collected the materials in Venice, from markets, roadsides, shops or grocery stores. 🌐 #EPCOT 🌳 #WorldShowcaseSunday - 𝓑𝓸𝓷𝓼𝓪𝓲! It’s easy to overlook this #EpcotFlowerAndGarden spot with a sometimes drum performance 🏯 and excellent photo opp ⛩️ at #JapanPavilion… and with live music blaring from just beyond at the American pavilion… but at some point we always manage to stop and admire! #BonsaiTrees are fascinating and are a mixture of meditation in care giving and careful pruning. We had a stunning one back in Brooklyn, and even just staring at it was enchanting 🤩. 🤤 VACATION FOODIE FINDS 🤤 This is THE sushi donut! This is a staple of EPCOT's Festival of the Arts. It's nothing crazy but it is fresh, picture-worthy, refreshing and inexpensive. There's nothing donut about it except for the shape. You can get this during the festival (you'll have to wait for 2025!) in the Japan Pavilion. It features salmon, tuna, shrimp, cucumber, and sesame seeds with decorative wasabi aïoli, sriracha aïoli, and eel sauce drizzle. 🧐 Fun fact - there's no eel in ell sauce.
