To of hit £40,000 with 5days to go, has blown our minds. I’ve been getting in some training over rough terrain. This is the sort of walking I have always loved, feeling the wind blowing and seeing spectacular views whilst challenging myself. It’s harder now than it used to be, particularly on the descents, the imbalance in my muscles means I’m not so stable and a lot slower than I used to be, but moments like this make me feel so alive that I will keep at it, just making adaptations. So, first post on here, thanks for the follows and to everybody who has donated so far, I am so grateful. I’ve been out training again, this time in Scotland a few days ago. I use the sticks now when I’m walking out and about as they help with stability, I find they really make a difference, especially as when I first start walking I am stiff and less coordinated. It improves a little once I am warmed up. I try to be positive when talking about my disability and getting out to exercise, but I think it’s important to be honest too. It isn’t always easy and I did actually have a fall this day when I missed my footing and stumbled. It’s dispiriting when something like that happens, but I get myself up and carry on slowly until the muscles have settled again. I try to watch the ground ahead to check for tree roots etc and have people with me just in case. I’m going to be doing plenty of walking over the next month or so and will keep posting and try to explain how I am adapting to keep moving. Please keep sharing the link to as many people as you can. I should just sleep in these walking boots and yes im burning them on 25/5/24 🥾 😂 Friday - 6 miles-walk Saturday - 6 mile run 🏃🏻♀️ & 10 mile walk Sunday - 6.40 mile morning walk - @all4mnd.charity event - 4.40 mile afternoon walk = 11 miles Im shattered absolutely shattered. With only 6 weeks to go, I have no choice but to get it done. Joints are definitely starting to feel it. Thank goodness for some sun and heat, it makes it so much nicer to walk in, if I’m being tanned I’ll walk. lol Incredible event today @ipswichrugby club, so much support it’s unreal. Everywhere I go people are talking about the challenge but more importantly spreading awareness of MND 🙌🏻🫶🏻 Bring on 5am club tomorrow 🏃🏻♀️ 🏋🏻♀️

Some of the team got together to sell cakes kindly made by @tonywelham76 which all sold out and the famous bracelets made by the mini ALL4MND heroes. That’s why our vertical sleeper wall is made of stunning natural timbers that stand tall and proud showing off their beautiful grain that signifies the strength and resilience of those who have left an indelible mark on our hearts.
