Before writing this. Not directed to anyone I know. Just things I’ve felt with the last few days. I have a high tolerance to stupid petty shit to a point. But once I’ve reached that point I’m literally done dealing with it. I’ll ignore it. Won’t respond to it. And act like it doesn’t exist. Unless you keep needling me over and over. Then I’ll just break it down logically. And relay it to the person to the point where I’ll become a surgeon in that now you are my outlet for not just leaving me alone and just letting it be. Everyone has a breaking point. Once I’m there. I’ll ask you to let it go. That I’m arguing with you for the sake of you wanting to pick a fight. I’ll ask politely a couple of times. Until I’ve just had it. Then I’ll just get quiet and not say anything. It just remove myself from the situation. Not longer after our move to Christchurch, during a morning walk around Hagley Park, I noticed a single boxing glove on the ground by a tree. Fascinated by my finding I could not resist wearing it and I took my time to reflect on the possible motivations around the discipline of boxing and all the other reasons which would induce a person to wear a boxing glove. I also tried to search inside myself, wondering if I had any of my own reasons, in comparison to the most common ones. My arms sitting against my body. The gloved hand getting sweaty. I stood there for quite a while, looking within. I remember a number of dog walkers and runners looking in my direction. When I detected a change in the light I took the glove off and I put it back on the ground. Happy birthday to my husband Ben! I would like to say a massive thank you to him as he is a great help behind the scenes at Wirral Whiskers. He comes with me to nail cutting appointments to hold cats (which he usually gets the brunt of as they don't like their nails doing.) Ben provides 24 hour IT support and hosts my website. He also waits in for keys to be dropped off and feeds our cats when I’m not at home. (Although, my daughter has recently overcome her fear of cat food and has been able to feed the cats!)
