Bucket list item ✅ I tried pottery once a couple of years ago however didn't use a wheel. I've always wanted to give it a try. So much fun having Martin give us a beginner class. He has been making pottery since he was a little boy watching his father. He is a university professor who is well known in Mexico for his skills as well as in the US where he has had a number of exhibitions. We considered ourselves pretty darn lucky to have his humble man give us a lesson. #1 such a cool feeling controling the shape #2 Rob caught on very quickly #3 Martin showing us how it's done #4 Rob learning just the right amount of pressure #5 Our masterpieces. Iniciando una nueva aventura Hey! Estoy emocionado de llevarlos conmigo en este nuevo viaje explorando esmaltes cerámicos. ¡Es todo un experimento! Empece la aventura de preparar fórmulas para crear mis propios esmaltes y probar cómo reaccionan en quemas de cono 4 a 6. En las fotos, pueden ver los primeros lotes que preparé. Cada uno tiene su propia mezcla especial en lo que se llama una prueba cuatriaxial. Es como magia, ¿saben? Un poquito más de esto, un poco menos de aquello y ¡bam!—cada plato sale con un look totalmente diferente. Esto es lo que me fascina de la cerámica: es una mezcla perfecta de ciencia y arte, donde cada pequeño cambio puede crear algo completamente nuevo. Estoy ansioso por ver cómo salen y claro, aprender de cada intento. Esto definitivamente me ayudará a descubrir qué técnicas y combinaciones funcionan mejor para mis futuras piezas.
