Since then, she has worn many hats at the Trail Head, Including but not limited to, assistant manager, store manager and assistant apparel buyer! Tracy is also a Missoula native-born and raised! When she’s not at the shop she enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters and golden retriever enjoying the diverse and vast playground we are lucky to call our backyard! She enjoys snowboarding and hiking in the mountains and rafting or canoeing in the rivers, lakes and mountain streams in and around Missoula! Mais um Paivafest, mais uma vez cumprida a tradição da prova de kayak extremo. Um pouco de emoção e competividade também fazem parte das águas-bravas, sempre com fair play e amizade entre todos. 21 canoístas masculinos e femininas de 6 nacionalidades diferentes vestiram o dorsal paivafest. Depois da tomada de tempos individual na secção inicial, os 6 primeiros disputaram a final simultânea nos rápidos das “escadinhas” e do “S”. Destacados dos restantes 4 finalistas chegaram João Soares e o canoísta Galego Elias Aarón tendo o Jovem Alvarenguense garantido o 1º lugar numa disputa ao sprint. O 3º Lugar foi conquistado literalmente ao “foto-finish” pelo também Galego Daniel Garcia batendo o português José Azevedo. Logo em seguida o Mondinense Filipe Pereira (5º) e o francês Tom Di Nunzio (6º) fecharam a final. A bonus race disputou-se no rápido dos 3 Saltinhos em que todos à excepção dos 3 premiados disputaram um prémio gentilmente oferecido pela Pinguça, tendo este licor ido parar as mãos do espanhol Angel Laxe. O final da descida foi em festa com a beer race , na chegada o Bar Barqueiro na praia fluvial de Espiunca, o prémio foi uma caneca de cerveja oferecida aos 10 primeiros que chegassem à esplanada do bar acompanhados do colorido dos seus kayaks e restante equipamento. We received quite a bit of rain Saturday night, and it is raining off and on today. The river has jumped up to 457 CFS, and may go higher depending on how much rain we get today. The high temps are supposed to be warm this week, so if the water comes back down to a reasonable level, there's a good chance that Jacob and Josh will head out to complete the safety/navigability work on another section of river. The first float trip of the year is on the books, down through the canyonland country of the lower Owyhee. It was a new river for us, and a stunner: were we blown away by those towering basalt and rhyolite cliffs (in the footprint of Yellowstone’s supervolcano, baby! 🌋) and the big sage and the canyon birds and the year’s first wildflowers.
