HUGE UPDATE!!! i’ve now been on fluoxetine for two weeks now, and already we can see a huge improvement in the way i’ve been acting with sunny. we were advised that it would take 4-6 weeks to take effect and to wait to reintroduce us, but our human got impatient and wanted to give it a chance because i was acting less and less interested in her behind the walls of my room. so, when i pressed my food button for the millionth time today, human decided to let me out and give both me and sunny a treat together. i wore my harness and leash so that our human could grab me easily in case i tried to push sunny’s boundaries, but much to their surprise as soon as she growled at me i walked away and went to play with a toy instead!!!! we only were out together for a few minutes, didn’t want to push our luck but are very thrilled with this change as this hasn’t happened in months. sunny is still very apprehensive, if i even look in her direction she will growl at me. but we are hoping that with enough treats and positive associations she will learn to be okay with me being around her as long as i don’t push her boundaries. for now let’s all take a second to be proud that i was able to be out with sunny and not immediately chase her as soon as she moved!!!! 💛🐾 • • • • • • #catrescue #cats #catsofinstagram #adoptdontshop #cat #instagram #catstagram #catlover #animalrescue #rescuecat #catlovers #kitten #rescuecats #kittensofinstagram #rescuecatsofinstagram #catlife #instacat #kitty #rescue #meow #orangecat #sesame #catphotos #adoptkitties #purrfect #cutekittens #prettycat #weirdwonderfulcats #orangecatman #exploringcat
