Friends, this is a long overdue post. While you see me travelling with the Rudra Veena to all corners of India and beyond, you might have ask yourself how the logistics are working with a instrument like mine. In fact, travelling with the Veena always feels like being on a family trip, with the difference that you have to handle everyone's baggage with one person and one seat. 😉 Obviously with an instrument having already 10kg weight on its own, being with 5.5 feet almost as tall as myself and the need for three separate boxes - you feel like being on the road with a dinosaur at times. One that is as fragile as an egg at the same time. With this of course the safest and lightest packaging is a dream of every musician and especially every Rudra Veena player. After discussing the possibility to create box sets for the Rudra Veena made from Carbon fiber, Dipen Das from the Kolkata based D.k.DasandSons company took the challenge. Admitting that he had failed in a first attempt some years ago, since the Carbon fiber needs a much more sophisticated handling than the usual Fiberglass material. However, a few months later, having spent quite a few sleepless nights he managed to finish what very likely are the very first Carbon Fiber Boxes for a Rudra Veena. The total weight of the three box set amounts to 16 kg only. Certainly lighter and harder than even the best Fiberglass boxes, which range between 20-25kg. Knowing that my back and my purse will be thankful for the saved Kilograms, I got two sets made for my instruments in India and for the ones in Europe. If you think that this is a good idea you also would like to go for, I can only recommend to get in touch with Dipen Das. Черри запечь в духовке пр 180 с травами, солью и маслом пока не треснут. Лук-шалот и несколько зубчиков чеснока мелко нарезать и обжарить на масле до мягкости, добавить белую фасоль с жидкостью и потушить ещё минут 8.
