Star-Crossed: Meet the Cast! Ryan Makepeace (Ensemble) is a Father, Rolfer, Actor, Rapper, Writer, Filmmaker and Athlete. Ryan holds an Undergraduate Degree in Journalism from Colorado State University, and a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Theatre from Naropa University. At 28, he taught Theatre at a prestigious High School in Gaborone, Botswana called Maru a Pula. His most precious gift and teaching came in the form of his Brilliant and Beautiful son Helios who is now 4-years old. Ryan has worked with an Arts Organization in Aurora called Roshni as a Writing Instructor, Youth Mentor, Actor and Writer since 2020. Ryan spent time doing journalistic work in Istanbul, Turkey in November 2023 and recently returned from the Mountainous Jungles of Puerto Rico where he assisted in the building of an Earthen home. Star-Crossed: Meet the Cast! Nellie Speers (Lisa/Ensemble) is passionate about community-centered storytelling. She is currently a Stage Manager/Swing with Colorado Shakespeare Festival’s “Shakespeare and Violence Prevention” School Tour, while also working as an Artistic Instructor with BackStory Theatre in Broomfield. Recent credits include The Sound of Music (Asst. Star-Crossed: Meet the Cast! Corinne Baur (Karin) began her acting journey at the age of 8 with Guthrie Theatre and her characters have spanned the decades. Through her life she’s played Gretel in The Sound of Music, Rizzo in Grease, A Harem Dancer in The Aladdin Parade at Hollywood Studios, A Girl Off The Bus in Walt Disney World’s Streetmosphere show, and Puss in Boots and Rumplestiltskin in a traveling Children’s Theatre company. Corinne has a BA in theatre education from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and trained with Interactive Artists in character improvisation. She most recently played Grandma Rosie in a production of the Wedding Singer. She might be cast as the old lady now, but she’s still going strong.
