Multiple routes available: the stairs to Brunate at the southeast corner of Como, or the multitude of trails that kick you out near the funicula station in Como (including some cool routes that wind underneath the tracks). VOLTA LIGHTHOUSE The lighthouse was built in 1927 for the 100th anniversary of the death of the famous Como-born scientist Alessandro Volta, inventor of the battery. From there you can enjoy an amazing view over Como and the towns facing the first basin of the Lake. The lighthouse is located in the town of Brunate. From Como city you can reach Brunate with the Funicular in just 7 minutes.
